"I never thought this park bench would ever play a special role in our lives," , y/n said with a grin as she sat down on the bench next to her boyfriend Tee.
"Me neither." , Tee replied with a grin as he put his arm around his girlfriend and pulled her a little closer, making y/n snuggle up to him.
"And yet our love story is something quite extraordinary," y/n almost exaggerated, making Tee laugh and join in within a few seconds, as Tee had quite an infectious laugh.
And his laughter had often been to blame for the fact that she had now and then no longer get along from laughing so that it had ended two or three times even in tears from laughing so hard.
"You think so?" Tee raised his eyebrow slightly and looked down at his girlfriend, who had meanwhile leaned her head against his chest and dreamily looked at the large flowery field in front of them.
Countless bright colors of all kinds were blooming on the field, so that it looked like a colorful beautiful spot, while around it was only meadow and this colorful spot more or less became an eye-catcher.
"I would say so. After all, it doesn't often happen that someone walks past you and is so clumsy in the meantime, so that the ice cream landed right on your new shoes, right?"
Y/n looked up at her boyfriend as she remembered the moment a year ago when she wanted to end the day with a cool ice cream after a hot day at work.
Since she couldn't decide which of the delicious scoops to take, she had finally bought three pieces, so that on the way through the park she had a lot of trouble eating the three melting scoops, which didn't really sit perfectly on the wafer and started to wobble every now and then.
When she had been bumped into, she had literally lost control of her ice cream, so that it had swayed to the side and the top scoop - mango - had landed on Tea's new shoes.
She had been so embarrassed by this action that she had thrown the rest of the ice cream - sadly - into the trash can next to the bench and then pulled countless tissues out of her handbag to help Tee clean his shoes.
Tee, however, had been anything but angry or annoyed. On the contrary, he had taken this rather casually and amusedly, so he had calmed y/n down and then bought her another ice cream, but this time only one scoop, because safe was safe. And while she ate her ice cream she sat together with Tee on the bench, where he had made countless jokes about this action, so that y/n had decided to like Tee.
And today a year later they were still sitting on the bench after countless ice cream dates, their first kiss on the bench and the first "I Love you" .
"In fact, you're the first one to drop her ice cream on my shoes" , Tee said in a slightly teasing tone, making y/n start to giggle softly and then roll their eyes.
"But I'm actually really glad you did. Because otherwise we never would have met."
Tee pressed a gentle kiss to y/n's lips before leaning back again and gazing at the flower field for a few seconds, lost in thought as well.
"You know, I never told you this..." , Tee began the sentence as he took his eyes off the field and looked down at his girlfriend.
"What? Did something happen?" Y/n's voice sounded quite concerned as she slowly sat up and reached for her boyfriend's hands.
"No, babe. Everything's okay. Nothing bad, I promise" , he reassured her by squeezing her hands gently and giving her a soft look.
"A year ago then. So exactly a year ago today, when I saw you, I realized one thing."
As Tee spoke, he looked into y/n's eyes.
He could clearly see how nervous she was and he still scared her a little, though what he would say next would be rather the complete opposite.
"I've loved you since the moment I first laid my eyes on you. It was really cute how frantic you got when you noticed the stain on my shoes. Remember how many times you mumbled sorry? And you didn't dare look at me? And when I told you for the fifth time that everything was really okay and you lifted your head? You looked at me with your y/e/c eyes and I felt so much love and warmth in them that I immediately realized that you are the woman I want to get to know better. And you really blew me away, so that over time I really realized that that's when I started to slowly fall in love with you and finally love you."
While Tee had been speaking, he had put his hands to y/n's cheeks and looked into her eyes, so he had seen y/n's watery eyes, from which tears were slowly forming, which he carefully wiped away with his thumbs.
"You're so sweet." , y/n whispered, sobbing, as she moved a little closer to him and against his lips : "I hope we have countless more beautiful dates on this bench" , before putting her lips on Tee's and kissing him.
And they did indeed have countless more dates on this bench, so much so that they even went for a walk together again in the evening, just to sit cuddled up to each other on this bench for a few minutes, gazing at the flower meadow while they were lost in thought.
And two years later, Tee y/n actually asked her to marry him at the bench where it had all started.
