"Why is it that whenever I wanna come here, you're here." Ra'mora asks with a scowl on her face, arms crossed over her chest.
Ao'nung sits up a little more but still leaning against the large rock behind him. He scoffs upon hearing her words, "I found this spot first of course I'm gonna be here."
"It is literally pouring rain right now, why would you possibly need to be here?"
"I should be asking you that."
Ra'mora lets out a grumble of annoyance and frustration out her mouth as Ao'nung stares at her with a smug smirk. Ra'mora tightens her arms across her chest before deciding to sit down with Ao'nung beside him, still keeping a fair distance between them.
"I just enjoy the rain," Ao'nung confessed, "I don't have an actual reason as to being out here."
Ra'mora simply nodded. Awkward silence washes over them, the other sound that was apparent at the moment was the pattering of the rain against the leaves.
"So why are you here?" Ao'nung asked quietly.
She shrugs, "I dunno. I just felt like it I guess."
"Are you sure? You've been acting weird to everyone recently."
"It's not your business. Who are you to ask?" She spat.
Ao'nung frowned slightly with confusion before his confusion turned into anger, "I was just asking to make sure you're okay. Can you for once not be a bitch and try to at least acknowledge that I'm trying to make an effort in being your friend here?"
She scoffs, "My friend? You don't deserve the right to become my friend after what you did to Lo'ak. You left him for dead, that is unforgivable."
Ao'nung's heart aches a bit upon hearing that it was unforgivable, but he wasn't surprised. What he did gave him a one way ticket to never being Ra'mora's friend ever, but he wished he could at least try and fix it.
He sighs, "Look, I'm sorry." He says softly. "Can you please give me one more chance?"
Ra'mora tightens her lips into a thin line upon hearing his request. She was about to decline but then remembered what she told herself. She said she wanted to start fresh and stop being standoffish. She couldn't hold a grudge forever, but what he did was seriously unforgivable. Lo'ak could've died out there. Words weren't enough to take back what he did, Ao'nung needed to redeem himself for what he did.
She sighs loudly then turns her head to look at Ao'nung, "Prove it then. What you did was extremely fucked up, so if you really are sorry like you say you are then prove it to me. Then maybe we can be friends."
Ao'nung quietly lets out a breath he didn't even know he was holding, "I will, now tell me why you're out here."
"I told you, it's not your business."
"Right, sorry. Let's talk about something else then, yeah?"
The two teens began to talk about something else, just like Ao'nung had proposed. As they talk to one another for hours Ra'mora felt a sort of comfort when talking to him. It felt refreshing to her after what just happened in the pod with her family along with the continuous nightmares she received.
She definitely wasn't going to open up to Ao'nung about that though, nor was she ready to open up about that to her own twin brother. The only people who knew right now was her mom and dad. As the two talked the thumping noise she heard seemed to calm down a bit, yet it was still there.
