Bold = Metkayina sign language"Tsireya, is it really necessary for you to be dragging us like this?" I huffed as she continued to drag both me and Neteyam towards the group.
"Yes! Why didn't you guys tell us it was both your days of cycle!"
"It's not really a big deal." I mumbled.
"I heard that!" She turned her head to glare at me shortly before returning her gaze back to the group in front of us. "And yes it's a big deal, the clan would've thrown a celebration for you and your family."
"That's kinda the problem, we didn't really want a celebration. It would cause a disturbance to the people." Neteyam adds.
Tsireya gasps as we stopped in front of the group, letting go of our hands and turning around to look at us. "It would not be a disturbance! We accept you all as one of our people now, my parents would love to have a celebration for you both!"
I groan loudly, "Tsireya it's fine, really. Why are we here now?" I glance at the group behind her. It was the rest of her siblings plus Rotxo along with our siblings, minus Tuk because she was at lessons with the other young Metkayina children. I'm really glad she started taking lessons to learn about the nature here, she even gained some new friends. She's been rather lonely ever since we left home, she only really hung out with us.
"We're here because we're going to discuss what to do for your celebration, I already told my parents about it and they said yes." Tsireya says proudly with a smile.
I gawked at her, my jaw dropping. That was probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for us the entire time during our stay.
Neteyam's ears flatten from being flustered, "Tsireya, you didn't have to."
"You both are my friends and one of my people, of course I had to. Now come. Sit." She urged, tugging on our hands as she sat down.
The only open spots were one beside Ao'nung and another beside Ayreina. Of course they were the only spots, they definitely did that on purpose. I grumbled quietly, watching Neteyam waste no time to take the spot beside Ayreina. My gaze met Ao'nung's who greeted me with a smirk and pat the empty spot beside him. I rolled my eyes in response, begrudgingly moving to sit in said empty spot.
Ao'nung nudged my elbow as everyone dispersed into a big conversation about the celebration. "What's with the face?"
"What face? I just look like this."
"Uh-huh. Sure." He says sarcastically. "Now, what's with the face?" He repeats.
"Nothing Ao'nung." I huffed.
Ao'nung frowns slightly, "Do you really not want us to throw the celebration or something? Because I can tell my father that-"
"No, it's not that. It was really nice of Tsireya to do, I just feel kinda bad? I don't know."
He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly as he becomes a bit shy, making me raise an eyebrow at his antics. "It was actually me who asked first when I heard from Tsireya."
"You were the one who asked?"
"Yeah. But why do you feel bad?"
"I just said I don't know, pay attention."
"Don't give me attitude."
I rolled my eyes at him and listened to the group's conversation before tuning them out again, diving into my own thoughts. They were talking about how the celebration would take place tonight and all the activities that would be done, the rest of it didn't really interest me.
