Bold - Metkayina sign language
I pushed the fish on my leaf around with my finger, not having much of an appetite this morning.
"Yo,"
My eyes looked up at Lo'ak who was across from me. "You eatin' that?" He asked me with a mouthful of food. How was he this hungry it's only the morning.
I rolled my eyes, "Fatass." I muttered as I reached over and handed him my leaf full of untouched fish. Neteyam snorted and then started choking on his own food.
"Ra'mora, language. Cmon kid." Jake lightly scolded. I mumbled a sorry to him.
Neytiri eyed me as she cut up some fruit for Tuk who was sitting in her lap this morning, nibbling on some of Lo'ak's fish much to his dismay.
"Is everything okay Mora?" She asked me gently but I could tell she was definitely gonna pry at this later. Or at least try to.
I hummed. "I'm fine. Just tired still." I half lied. While yes I'm tired because I still couldn't sleep when I came back from my night trip, it wasn't why I was acting this way.
Neytiri hummed a skeptical hum at me in response and I saw her and Jake talk through their eyes to each other for a sec before letting it go.
"Sooo.." Jake started awkwardly and then cleared his throat, "How has lessons been going for you guys? Heard the tulkuns are coming soon."
Everyone but me responded, which led to Jake turning his gaze to me and Neteyam nudging me to respond.
"Huh? Oh, yeah they've been fine.. I guess. I'm quickly learning the tulkun sign language. Me and Kiri are the fastest learners out of everyone."
Jake grinned, "Look at my two girls being fast learners."
"What about me daddy!" Tuk whined.
He turned his attention to her and ruffled her hair, "You're great too babygirl."
A small smile fell on my lips at the interaction.
"Hellloooo!" Tsireya announced in a sing-songy voice. She seems very chipper today, but let's be honest. When is she not?
"Lessons will begin shortly! We need to wrap up the signing lesson today and tomorrow because the tulkuns will be arriving in three days."
I heard my siblings respond. Tuk cheered, Lo'ak and Neteyam hooted, and Kiri gasped clearly excited. This whole time I felt eyes burning into me.
I finally looked up after not being able to ignore it any longer and saw the usual people. Tsireya, Ayreina, Rotxo, and of course Ao'nung.
He immediately gave me a smirk and winked at me when he saw me finally lock eyes with him. I didn't react how I normally would. I looked him up and down then looked away.
Before I looked away I saw Ayreina eye me after not reacting how I usually would, then looked at Neteyam. I saw Neteyam look at me through the corner of my eye.
I honestly don't feel like talking to Ao'nung. He did nothing wrong, and he doesn't even know how I feel about the whole thing.
