In the bustling household of the Khans, anticipation filled the air as they prepared to embark on their journey to the United States. Before leaving their home, Mrs. Khan recited heartfelt surahs, seeking blessings for their travels. Mr. Khan diligently loaded the luggage into the car while their children Sarah and Adnaan eagerly awaited the adventure ahead.

The smiles on their faces were infectious, reflecting the excitement that enveloped the entire family. Their trip held a special significance as they were traveling to attend the much-anticipated wedding of their beloved cousin, Zakir. With plans to stay in the USA for several months, the Khans were filled with anticipation, ready to embrace the experiences and create lasting memories in a foreign land.

Rehan woke up abruptly, startled from his peaceful slumber. He glanced at the time and exclaimed, "Oh no! I completely forgot!" Hastily, he jumped out of bed and rushed downstairs, almost sprinting. "Ammi, why didn't you wake me up?" he asked, frustration evident in his voice. Perplexed, his mother replied, "What happened, Rehan? Did you miss something important?" Realizing his mistake, Rehan quickly replied, "No, nothing. I'm just going back to my room." His mother couldn't comprehend his sudden change in behavior. Alone in his room, Rehan pondered, "She must be on a flight."

Rehan closed his eyes, his heart heavy with regret. He couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness wash over him. The weight of his forgetfulness weighed heavily on his conscience and he wished he could turn back time. In that moment, he couldn't help but reflect on the consequences of his actions and the disappointment he had caused.

After completing the necessary formalities, the Khans settled down in their seats on the flight, ready to embark on their journey to the USA. The 15-hours travel had left them feeling exhausted but as soon as they stepped out of the aircraft, their hearts danced with joy. Smiles and giggles filled the air as if the very essence of the USA was welcoming them with open arms. With wholehearted enthusiasm, they embraced the beauty of their new surroundings, eager to embark on their new journey.

The upcoming chapter in their journey was none other than Zakir's wedding, a joyous occasion that filled their hearts with enthusiasm and excitement. The anticipation of witnessing their beloved cousin's union brought an extra sparkle to their time in the USA. They eagerly looked forward to being a part of the festivities, celebrating love and creating cherished memories together.

"Aayan, I don't feel okay," Rehan shared with his friend, his voice filled with sadness and vulnerability. He, concerned and taken aback by his sudden visit, asked, "What happened, bro?" It had been a while since they had seen each other and Aayan could sense that something was deeply troubling his friend.

He took a deep breath and began to pour out his heart. "Aayan, that day when Sarah went to Delhi for her higher studies, I started missing her. And now, when she left for the USA, I feel like I've lost her," Rehan confessed, his voice trembling with fear and sorrow. Aayan could see the pain in his eyes and the weight of his emotions.

He asked, "You love Sarah, don't you?" He had always suspected that there was something more between Rehan and Sarah but he had never voiced his thoughts. Deep down, he knew that his friend had fallen deeply in love with her. Rehan hesitated for a moment before finally admitting, "I don't know bro but maybe I am in love."

Aayan listened attentively, understanding the turmoil Rehan was going through. He knew that it was important for his friend to express his feelings and find solace. He offered his support and encouraged Rehan to have an open and honest conversation with Sarah. "Talk to her, my friend," he said, his voice filled with empathy.

As they gathered their luggage, the Khans eagerly awaited Zakir's arrival. Lost in their own thoughts, they suddenly heard a familiar voice greeting them, "Assalamualaikum mamu mami." They joyfully reciprocated, saying, "Walekum Assalamualaikum beta." Mr. Khan warmly embraced Zakir, patting him on the back. "Assalamualaikum bhaijan," Sarah and Adnaan greeted with excitement. Zakir smiled back at them. "Hey champ! How was the journey?" Zakir lovingly hugged Adnaan, who replied, "Ahh, it was a little tiring." Zakir then turned towards Sarah, gently placing his hand on her head and smiled. She returned the smile. They made their way to the car and settled in. Together, they embarked on the drive to their home, filled with anticipation and the warmth of family bonds.

As they arrived at Zakir's home, they were greeted with overflowing joy, traditional sweets and an atmosphere filled with excitement and nostalgia. Their aunts and uncle eagerly awaited their arrival, unable to contain their happiness. Hugs were exchanged, laughter echoed through the rooms and the air was filled with the warmth of love and cherished memories. It was a beautiful reunion that reminded them of the strong bond they shared as a family.

Aayan listened attentively as his friend poured out his heart. He could see the pain etched on his face, the anguish in his eyes. With a supportive hand on his friend's shoulder, Aayan offered a comforting response, "I understand, my friend. It's hard to realize the value of something until it's gone. But remember, you haven't lost her completely. There's still hope."

His friend sighed, his voice filled with despair, "You don't get it, Aayan. When she was here, I took her presence for granted. I never gave her the time and attention she deserved. Now that she's gone, I feel like I've lost her forever. My heart is restless, and peace eludes me."

Sarah settled into a guest room, opening the curtain to reveal a breathtaking view. As she opened the window, a gentle breeze caressed her face. She closed her eyes, savoring the moment. When she opened her eyes, she spotted her cousin Zakir embracing a young man. "Who is he? Maybe one of Zakir bhai's friends" she whispered. Unable to get a clear look, she closed the window and began unpacking her luggage.

Sarah finished unpacking her luggage and decided to freshen up after the long journey. As she stood in front of the mirror, she debated whether to take a quick rest or have lunch first. The growling of her stomach made the decision for her - lunch it was.

She made her way downstairs and was surprised to find everyone already gathered around the dining table. Taking her seat next to her brother, she joined in the lively conversation while enjoying the delicious meal prepared by her aunt.

After lunch, the family moved to the cozy living room, where Zakir, her cousin, pulled Adnaan aside and whispered excitedly, "Let's go out and have some fun! I know the perfect cafe and we can even go on some thrilling rides. Call Sarah and ask her to join us." Adnaan's face lit up with anticipation, but he quickly expressed his concern about their parents' disapproval. Zakir, always the persuasive one, reassured him, "Don't worry, I'll handle it. Just go and get Sarah."

The prospect of going out with her younger brother and cousin made Sarah grow with excitement. Eager to be part of the adventure, she eagerly joined them, her curiosity growing with each passing moment.

Zakir, determined to make their outing a reality, approached their parents and presented his case. After some initial reluctance, their parents reluctantly agreed, trusting Zakir to keep them safe.

Sarah, Zakir, and Adnaan were super excited to hang out together. They decided to start their day at the mall. Zakir took them to a dress counter and said, "Check out if there's anything you like. Your big bro will pay for it!" They playfully said no, teasing Zakir, "Wow, bro, you're not so bad!" Sarah giggled, and Adnaan joked, "If you're buying stuff, then take me to the game zone. Shopping is more for girls. So, you pick something for sis." Sarah playfully hit him and said, "Bro right now we don't want anything. How about we grab a bite instead?" Zakir insisted, saying, "Come on, at least take something. It's been so long since you both visited, I want you to have something." But they kept refusing, jokingly saying, "Don't worry, we won't let you off the hook. We'll empty your pockets for sure!" Zakir laughed and said, "I'd be so happy if my little bro and sis did that for me."
