Rehan in the city of Lucknow, India, pouring his heart and soul into his business. From dawn till dusk, he toiled tirelessly, driven by his ambitious dreams of success. His days were consumed by meetings, negotiations, and endless paperwork, as he navigated the intricacies of the Indian market.
But amidst the chaos of his professional pursuits, Rehan's personal life had taken a toll. Sarah, the love of his life, was no longer by his side. Ever since she had left for USA, Rehan's world had been turned upside down. The void left by her absence was palpable, and it gnawed at his very core.
As the days turned into weeks, Rehan's once sharp focus began to waver. His mind would often drift to memories of Sarah, their laughter and their conversations. The weight of her absence weighed heavily on his shoulders, clouding his thoughts and hindering his ability to concentrate on his business.
It was during this time that Rehan's parents, who had always been his pillars of support, noticed the change in their son. They saw the distant look in his eyes, the weariness etched on his face. Concerned for his well-being, they approached him one evening, gently expressing their worry.
"Rehan, beta," his mother said, her voice filled with love and concern, "we've noticed that something seems amiss. You seem lost, as if a part of you is missing. Is everything alright?"
Rehan's father, his face lined with worry, added, "We know how much you've been working, and we're proud of your dedication. But remember, son, life is not just about business. It's about finding happiness and balance in all aspects."
Deep inside, he carries a burning love for Sarah, a woman who has captured his heart. However, Rehan hasn't mustered the courage to reveal his feelings to his parents, which leaves him feeling torn and distracted.
To add to his inner turmoil, Sarah has been absent from his life for over a month. She embarked on a journey to the United States to attend her cousin Zakir's wedding, accompanied by her family. The physical distance between Rehan and Sarah has made communication nearly impossible, intensifying his longing for her presence and support during this critical phase of his life.
-----
Rehan couldn't help but express his longing to his friend Aayan,"It's hard to believe that it has been more than a month since I last heard from Sarah. I miss her deeply."
Understanding Rehan's predicament, Aayan empathetically replied, "I can imagine, Rehan. It must be challenging not being able to connect with her. However, remember that she went to the USA for her cousin's wedding. I'm sure she's thinking of you too."
Rehan's heartache deepened as he confessed, "I wish I could gather the courage to tell my parents about Sarah."
------
Humaira, brimming with excitement, eagerly asked her cousin sisters, "Hey girls, how do I look?" Laiba, with admiration in her voice, exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, Humaira, you look absolutely stunning! Mashallah!" Adeeba and Sarah chimed in, giggling and teasing, "Humaira, you're going to make all the boys weak in the knees with that beauty of yours!"
"Hehe thank you thank you" Humaira said it jokingly.
Adeeba, curious about Sarah's hijab, asked inquisitively, "Sarah, do you wear your hijab all the time?" Sarah, with a serene smile, replied, "Absolutely! Wearing the hijab is not only a religious obligation for me, but it also brings me a sense of security and comfort."
Humaira, feeling a tad disappointed, interjected, "But Sarah, since it's just our family here today, why not take a break from wearing the hijab?" Sarah, with grace and conviction, responded, "No, Humaira, I choose to wear it because it's my personal choice and it aligns with my values. It's a part of who I am."
Laiba and Adeeba exchanged understanding glances, appreciating Sarah's commitment. Meanwhile, Humaira sighed and said, "Alright, if that's what makes you happy, Sarah."
------
Humaira, Laiba, and Adeeba excitedly made their way downstairs, their laughter filling the air. Sarah's heart sank as she realized she had forgotten her phone. "Oh no, guys! I actually forgot my phone in the room," she exclaimed, her voice filled with frustration.
As the girls reached the bottom of the stairs, their parents and relatives couldn't help but notice their stunning appearances. "Mashallah! Our daughters look absolutely beautiful today!" Zaheer exclaimed, his eyes shining with pride.
Amidst the compliments and admiration, Habib, father of Sarah inquired about her whereabouts. "Where's Sarah?" Laiba replied, "She is coming chachu. She just forgot her phone in the room."
Meanwhile, Sarah hurriedly rushed back upstairs, her mind racing with worry. "I can't believe I forgot my phone! What if I miss out on all the pictures and memories?" she whispered to herself, feeling a mix of anxiety and anticipation.
Sarah's heart raced as she hurried down the stairs, her mind focused on rejoining her family. But in her haste, she collided with someone, causing her to close her eyes tightly, bracing for the fall.
To her surprise, she found herself caught in a tight grip, preventing her from hitting the ground. Slowly, she opened her eyes, only to be captivated by the gaze of the person holding her. Their eyes locked, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still as they both got lost in each other's gaze.
But reality quickly snapped back, and Sarah's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She quickly pulled away from Kashan's grasp, feeling a mix of awkwardness and gratitude. The silence between them hung heavy with unspoken words and unsurfaced emotions.
Breaking the silence, Sarah managed to stammer out a quick "Thank you" before hastily making her exit, her face burning with embarrassment. She practically ran away, leaving Kashan standing there, his eyes following her as she disappeared from sight.
In that moment, Kashan couldn't help but feel a mix of confusion and curiosity. He wondered what had just happened, what had caused that spark between them. But he knew he couldn't dwell on it for too long. With a sigh, he turned away, his thoughts swirling with unanswered questions.
Little did they both know, this unexpected encounter would linger in their minds, planting the seeds of a connection that would blossom in the days to come. But for now, they were left with the lingering memory of that brief, intense moment and the unspoken words that hung in the air.
As Sarah retrieved her phone and made her way back downstairs, her heart pounded with a combination of relief and excitement. "Sorry, everyone! I had a little mishap with my phone," she confessed, a sheepish smile on her face. "But look at us! We're all so stunning!"
