chapter 33:

rose waits for adam outside the shop.

she tries to make out the writings on the glassdoor.

she hears people speaking japanese and wishes that she could understand what they're saying.

she sees a woman buying flowers in baskets and hopes adam doesn't see her.

"all done, sweet girl. hop on."

she finds him sitting on the motorbike with the helmet on his head.

"really? we're going, now?" her words are fumbled, because of her hands that are on her mouth.

"yes, come on." he gets up from his seat to help her.

"how do I make sure that it's you? I have to see what's under the helmet" she jokes.

she hears his cackle as she crosses her arms together.

adam removes his helmet from the top of his head and gestures to his body to show her that it's him.

"okay, it's really you."

she goes to rest her hands on his shoulders and fix the strands of hair that have stuck to the helmet.

"you have pretty hair" she mumbles while watching adam fix the helmet on her head.

he looks up at her and smiles. "no, you have pretty hair. come here."

he places the helmet gently and carefully on her head.

"you'll have to loosen the bun a bit, my love."

he takes the helmet off to allow rose to tie her hair.

"you can also not tie your hair. let the wind blow on it, you know?" he sees her taking the tie off her hair and mumbling, okay.

adam places the helmet back on her head and assures her that it's secure.

"is it okay?" she nods.

"I want to say something" she announces before adam can get on the bike.

"yes?" he places one hand on his hip awaiting her voice.

"you look so so nice in this leather jacket. can this be your everyday wear?" she asks nicely, as the wind blows on her hair.

"whatever you want, princess."

"adam, we need to do this every night" and "that was incredible" seem to be the only thing that has come out of rose's mouth since they've gotten off the bike.

adam's reply to her words are either a chuckle or a smile.

he hasn't seen her this free, this happy in such a long time.

"you really liked it?" he takes his helmet off.

"yes. it was the best thing I've ever done in my life!" she squeaks.

adam laughs. "really? I'm glad to hear that." he wraps his arm around her.

"so, you weren't scared of it at all?" she shakes her head.

"no, not at all" she mumbles.

"not at all?" his voice goes high-pitched.

he waits for rose to reply smacking his lips together.

"n-no. not at all." he lowers his head, giving her another chance to admit that she was scared a little bit.

"okay, maybe a little little bit." she gestures with her fingers. the distance between her thumb and index, almost inexistent.
