After arielle left malani's apartment from helping her pack up rocky's belongings, she enters her apartment and notices it's quiet. she pets cookie on her head, looking around the apartment and doesn't see delano. he must've left. she lets out a breath and goes over to the computer, sitting down and putting the password in. she quickly goes to facebook and looks up simba's name again. the same page comes up from last time and she clicks on the profile picture; zooming in on the photo. she tilts her head to the side and analyses the picture. is that him?

The girl in the picture has the same type of long curly hair as him, the same eyes and even the same smile. she starts to think deeper and her mind goes back to when he went over to the emt when he asked him for his government name. did he get his name changed? what is his old name? she goes through more pictures and clicks on a family picture with him, an older woman and a young girl. she zooms into that picture and gasped, jumping back.

Skylar. she had brown hair instead of the black hair she has now and she has the exact same face. I knew I seen her before. her fingers start to shake as she grabs the mice, clicking out the photo and continues to investigate the page. she scrolls down through the posts and sees one in particular, her blood turning cold. she sees a post where simba is telling facebook that he scrapped the skin off his knee while popping a wheelie at a park in the bronx. she remembers him telling her that same story when she asked him about the scar on his left knee. she starts biting her nails, her eyelids shutting and she shakes her leg anxiously.

Arielle always knew she was bisexual. she knew she liked girls since the 8th grade when she would look at her female classmates and saw them as "beautiful" but not in a friendly way; in a sexual way. everything was solidified when she seen Megan Fox in the movie "Jennifer's Body" and became obsessed with her for three months straight. she got together with her first girlfriend when she was 15 years old and it was her bestfriend who she fell in love with. they met in 6th grade and was attached at the hip since then, hanging out and sleeping over each others houses every week.

The relationship lasted until her 17th birthday when her girlfriend broke up with her over text and she was heartbroken. she never had time to heal because a couple months later, she started dating the captain of the football team and that relationship didn't last long. he cheated on her with her ex girlfriend and she was the laughing stock for the rest of the school year. every relationship after that, women and men, she's been cheated on and she never understood why. she often blamed herself, she thought she was the perfect partner to them so why would they go and find someone other than her to be with?

That was until she got with delano. he never cheated on her and that's what she loves about him the most, he maintained the bare minimum of a relationship; loyalty. other than the domestic abuse and the anger issues, she knows that he loves her and he would never go behind her back to seek fun and if he felt like the love between them is diminished, he would be honest and tell her.

her parents always taught her to treat people with dignity and respect because you don't know what they could potentially be going through outside the simple interaction you have with them. since then, she has never judged people based on their beliefs or their ways of living but delano was a little different. he was raised to be a christian and he doesn't believe in people being born "gay" or "lesbian", certain pronouns or people believing they were born in the wrong body but what he does believe, is that people are born one gender, a man or a woman.

She always told him that he was homophobic but he brushed it off, saying that he accepts her for who she is so he can't be homophobic. it always rubbed her the wrong way but she decided to ignore it, for the sake of the relationship even though she has different beliefs. she looks back at simba's profile picture and stares at it for a second. she has never dated a trans person, not that she didn't want to, the opportunity just never presented itself to her. she's not mad that simba is transgender, that doesn't bother her at all—she's mad that he didn't tell her. obviously, he's not obligated too since they're only friends and they're not dating but she knows that he likes her and vice versa so when will he decide bring it up to her?
