BLAIR

A couple of seconds passed by of me waiting impatiently and finally, BJ came back, but this time not alone.

Party music started coming to my ears, real party music, not the kind of "party music" the elite had at their "parties"

"What are you guys doing here?" I say as Pip, Cora, and Theo pick me up from the ground.

"You gotta dance, girl!!" Cora says with her body bouncing on mine.

Suddenly BJ grabs me, spins me around, and kisses me.

"Welcome to your first real party, princess," He says.

We danced and drank some questionable one-euro drinks for a while until everyone was passed out on the beach except me. BJ didn't want me to drink a lot because it was my first time consuming this type of cheap alcohol.

I took Angel and went inside to sleep. This time I had the bed all to myself, but I had this feeling that I couldn't sleep without him.

I got up and started walking around the house, analyzing every broken inch.

"This is a house that was lived," I thought.

Rich people are so fixated on having a perfect house that they forget to actually live in it.

I look around.

I look at the messy sofa and I look at the wooden floor covered by dog hair. I look at old pictures of BJ, Cora, Pip, and Theo and I smile at how young they were.

I look around and for the first time in my life, I feel home.

I walk around the small living room slash bedroom slash kitchen and I see a slight open drawer. I pick a look inside and I see a cheap one-euro journal with a paper glued on top with something written on it with BJ's handwriting.

I pick it up.

"Not another summer project" is written on the little paper glued on top of the journal.

I open the journal to its first page and sit still for a moment with myself.
