Y/N POV

Trust her? Is she fucking serious? She made whatever Marshall forced me to drink and from the pleased look he had, it can't be anything good. Why would I trust her?

These words had been running in my head nonstop for what felt like hours. My stomach still feeling warm but nothing else changing. As I slowly let go of worrying about Kimiko, I focused on my surroundings. It appeared to be an empty bedroom in a wooden cabin that had seen better days. Cracks in the ceiling and walls let in wind and snow but nothing unbearable. It had not been occupied in what had to be years as there was no spot that was not covered with dust or spider webs. I could hear every step from the other room as the old floorboards creaked under the weight it must not have carried in years.

My hands tied behind my back made it difficult to stand but I managed and slowly made my way across the room. The same noise coming from below my feet. The only way to really confirm the passage of time, as the sun was gone, only moonlight shining in from the window. I had to escape, but first I need to figure out where I am. Looking out, there was a field of snow, surrounded by miles of trees, making it feel like an island without the water. The wind blowing the tops of trees, mimicking the waves of the ocean.

That son of a bitch.

Jungkook's POV

"There couldn't have made it too far." Ethan said, a huge map spread on the table. It had been two days since Y/N had been taken causing Jimin and I to cling to each other without her by our side. We were not complete without her. We had gone out to help the search each time one of us joined, Ethan insisted that either he or Mateo be there as they would be the only ones able to stop us from going too far. We didn't understand the need until last night when Jimin was refusing to return until Y/N was found. He snapped at a member of patrol with his eyes glowing causing them all to submit. Ethan had stopped it quickly and Jimin apologized profusely, though all were understanding as this group all had mates.

"We have every way out of the city being watched and wolves patrolling the borders. They have to be hiding either within the city or the surrounding area as they wouldn't be able to get farther without attracting attention. The snow is being a hindrance as it makes it harder to track as there are so many wolves out we're not sure who is who. We are focusing on smell but taking no chances and following tracks no matter what." Alexis explained to the group. We were in the office at our home as it was where Jimin and I were the most reasonable as our mate's scent surrounded us. Today Yoongi joined us, as Yoongi was on forced bedrest and now given an all clear. We had insisted Tae and Namjoon be included from the beginning.

"My guess would be a more isolated area. His men would be able to move freely without causing suspicion." Namjoon suggested, pointing out few areas in the city but that left the surrounding woods a mystery. "Due to the cold, they would need to be stationary."

"What do you mean?" Mateo asked, while Yoongi's eyes widened.

"He means that the snow is stopping them moving camp because it would take them too long to reestablish a base camp. It would be too cold not to have some type of heat source or protection. Especially, if they are hiding in the forest. Even in the city, they would need to be vigilant to not leave anything behind that we could use to track them."

"Knowing Marshall, he has his minions controlled by fear. They wouldn't want to take the risk." Jimin said looking across the map. "Having a fire would attract attention..." They continued conversation became a murmur in the back of my head as my attention focused on the map. A memory floated into my mind.

"Wow, your home is beautiful." Hobi exclaimed looking out around.

"Thank you. It was one of my dad's courting gifts to my mom. I guess he got the idea from one of his great-something grandparents. While they built a cabin by hand, it's a lot easier to build a home nowadays."
