16- Security and History

"Alpha Ethan. It a pleasure to have you in our home." I said, still in shock. It wasn't unusual for Mateo and even his mate, Carmen, to stop by but not the Alpha.

"Thank you and I'm sorry for dropping by without notice," Ethan said with a slight bow of his head. When he raised his eyes, they swept the room and landed on Jimin. "I believe introductions are in order."

"Of course, sir," Jungkook said as he stepped forward, "Alpha Ethan, Beta Mateo, may I introduce Juliet Thompson." Juliet went to stand in front of them both to bow formally.

"It is an honor." She spoke softly but loud enough to be heard. Mateo smiled at her as did Ethan. He was an intimidating man but only when he had to be. Obviously, Mateo told him the reason these two were here. That it centered around Juliet. At a signal from my beta, I stood by him before he spoke.

"Y/N and I would be honored to introduce our mate, Park Jimin." Jimin walked forward with a straight back and strong steps before bowing to the pair.

"Alpha Ethan. Beta Mateo." Jimin said before raising his head.

"I am told you are the reason that that filth did not succeed in harming this omega female," Ethan said.

"Yes, sir. Though I regret I could not finish the job." Jimin answered with his fists clenched.

"No, but you knew what was important in the moment. That is an admirable quality in an Alpha. Knowing when strength is needed instead of using it as the answer for every problem." Ethan responded with a smile. Juliet, Jungkook, and I had matching looks of pride at the praise Jimin received. "I am sorry to say I do not remember your name, my son."

"It is understandable, sir. We have only met in passing. My name is Kim Taehyung." Taehyung said with a bow.

"The reason I am here is to discuss sensitive information and believe it would be best done in private." He said. No doubt he was about to dismiss Taehyung when Juliet took his hand.

"Please, sir, but Taehyung is my mate and I would be grateful if he could remain by my side," Juliet said with a bow. Mateo's eyes lit up as he took in the pair.

"Taehyung found his mate?!" He asked in excitement. The Beta has had more interaction with Taehyung and knew he was the only one in our group who was still looking. "These two said nothing of this earlier!"

"We were hoping the pack would help without the need to mention that her mate was a pack member," I said, a little shyly. I basically admitted to testing the Beta. Luckily, the Beta and Alpha laughed at my confession.

"You are so much like your mother," Ethan said with a smile. "And congratulations to you all. To find your mate is definitely something to celebrate."

"Even me sir?" Jimin asked. While his tone was steady, I knew he wanted the Alpha's approval. To him, it must have been the closest to a father he would get. Ethan walked closer to place a hand on his shoulder. With a slight squeeze, he said, "Every gift from our Goddess is a reason to celebrate."

"You must be something special if the Goddess believes you can handle these two trouble-makers." Mateo joked. Jungkook and I stuck out our tongues at the same time causing the room to chuckle.

"While we are happy, there are also questions. Mateo said you have a friend at the university that might be able to help?" Ethan asked. We nodded and briefly explained Namjoon's position and his field of interest. "Can this man be trusted?"

"We trust him with our lives, sir."

"Excellent. If you could contact him it would be helpful." The Alpha said. We nodded because we thought he meant later. We were wrong. "Now. I would like him to be a part of this meeting."
