Alyssa always used to see the beauty of the ocean, its color, its strength and how no one can control it, but today she got to see a completely different side as she and her family had traveled to Driftmark to attend Lady Laena's funeral.

She looked round at all who were gathered there, paying little attention to what Sir Vaemond Velaryon said.

"We join today the seat of the sea to commit the lady Laena of house Velaryon. To the eternal waters, the dominion of the merling king where he will guard her for all the days to come. As she sets to sea for her final voyage, the lady Laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore. Through their mother will not return from her voyage, they will all remain together in blood. Salt courses through Velaryon blood" He looked at Rhaenyra

"Ours runs thick, ours runs true, and ours must never thin"

The next to be heard was Prince Daemon's laughter in the mids of Sir Vaemond's speech. Alyssa looked at him with a frown. Who laughs at their wife's funeral?

Ser Vaemond's speach came to an end and the Lady Laena's coffin was dropped in the sea with a huge splash as it sank to the bottom.

Alyssa stood alone in the corner as everyone else drank wine, offering condolences to prince daemon and the twin daughters, Baela and Rhaena.

From a distance, she saw Helaena sitting down with a small vatle in her hand that she couldn't really see from that distance Aegon stood there with a cup of wine in his hand, Aemond standing next to him with a neutral look.

She tore her gaze away from the two brothers and stared out to sea instead.

"We have nothing in common" Aegon complained and took another sip of his wine, thinkin it might remove all his problems despise his mothers disaproving gaze.

"If you are so fucking unhappy tell mother to betroth her to me" Suggested the younger prince, gasting a glance at Aegon. At that he went quiet for a while before speak omg again, this time a smirk on his face rather than a troubled one. "Well well so my younger brother is infatuated with my fiancée, is that how we should have it?" He chuckled at his brother's stupidity and walked over to one of the maids who were serving drinks. "Wench, another!"

Aemond shook his head at his brother "Aegon" A splash of fatigue hit him and he suddenly felt exhausted. Aegon was always the one who would fuck up in h it was always Aemond who would pick up after him no matter what. Typical.

His eyes roamed around the area until he saw Alyssa standing all alone. His mouth went up in a small smile as he eyed her long black dress that went down to her feet. Her curly silver hair was half tied up in an elegant way with a small hair pin, holding her hair up. Then it became clear to him that he could now talk to her, now he had the chance to apologize.

Alyssa saw him walk in her direction and picked up her cup to leave, she had had no desire to engage in conversation with anyone and certainly not with Aemond.

She was about to leave, but Aemond, the stubborn boy he is, stood in front of her, blocking her way. Her gaze went to Prince Daemon who, like her, was all alone, even though that was unfortunately no longer the case for her.

"What do you want, Prince Aemond?" she questioned. She couldn't understand how he couldn't have understood that she didn't want to talk to him.

"I needed to talk to you" He stated simply "You left the king's landing without so much as a word" a bitter taste took its place on his call as he formed the sentence. His best friend had left Kings Landing without saying goodbye.

Alyssa turned her head towards the wavy sea where the dark water lapped mercilessly against the rocks "Aye, I had hoped that you would understand and leave me alone." She sighed deeply, "And yet, you are here."
