Outside the warmth of the red keep, the hard rain hit the ground, lightning flashing in the middle of it all and thunder creating a lot of noise than it already was in the heir to the throne of the Iron Throne's room.

After almost a full day in labour, her energy had waned slowly but surely and pushing was so difficult for her that she was sure that this would be the end of her, that she would die as her mother had done all those years ago.

Midwives rushed into the room with a ridiculous number of towels and more water. Another stood above her with a wet cloth with which to wipe away the sweat and another with whom she could barely see because of her blurry eyes from her tears.

"I see the head, Princess. You need to push!" Rhaenyra's knuckles turned white as snow when she held the sheets as hard as she could while feeling the pain flow through her whole body.

The room turned silent in an istant. The only thing that could be heard being the princess's heavy breathing and sigh of relief as she felt the baby leave her body at last.  The rain poured outside the castle, hitting the Windows loud enough to be heard, but no cries where heard, no sign of life and No one said anything, everyone's eyes were one of worry and sadness.

Rhaenyra sat up weakly in fear, just wanting to hold the Babe in her arms. The midwife standing next to her held her arms to help her sit up."What is it? Is my child alive?! Tell me! Why dosen't she cry!?" Her cries got louder and louder along with her sobs as she thought her baby was dead.

The room was in complete silence for what felt like forever, the Princess grew even more fearsome and was filled with sorrow. Thinkin that her firstborn was dead.

Then A sigh of relief and happiness left her mouth when the cries was heard through out the whole room, making all the attendants present in the room throwing Prayers, thanking the mother for this mercifull act. "Congratulations, princess. You have a fine and healthy girl!"

She turned her head towards the woman next to her, who was stroking happily at her, and pulling her brother's hair out of her face. "I have a daughter? I have a daughter"

An elderly woman walked up to her with the crying girl in her arms and handed her over to Rhaenyra who welcomed her with the world's biggest smile and arms wide open "Congratulations, princess"

On the top of her head, you could see tiny little silver strands. Rhaenyra leaned her head back in relief and hushed the crying Babe in her arms.

She laughed with happiness as she held her daughter in her arms for the first time but was interupted by the door opening and her husband, Ser Laenor, entered the room. "A girl?" he walked over to Rhaenyra and sat down next to her, smiling down at the girl. "Was it very painful?" he asked jokingly, Rhaenyra slapped his chest and smiled at his foolishness, he would never know.

The door opened again and her father, the king rushed in with a big smile on his face laughing brightly for everyone int the castle to hear. His wife, Queen Alicent and her children followed. The youngest boy, Prince Aemond, looked at his mother questioningly. Wonderimg what that little What that messy thing in his sister's arms was.

Alicent put her hand on his shoulder and looked at Viserys as he walked over to the bed where his daughter lay. "My dear girl, what happy news. Let me hold her, let me hold my granddaughter"

Rhaenyra gently handed the baby to him and lay back on the bed with Laenor holding her arm. She looked at her father who cradled the girl with great happiness.

However the queen did not seem as happy. "Congratulations, Princess Rhaenyra. You must simply be overjoyed." the queen said as her husband cuddled with the babe, Rhaenyra just gave a stiff smile back and nodded "Indeed, your grace."

Suddenly the Queen's eldest son, Prince Aegon gave his mother a bored look. "I wanna sleep now."

The queen smacked him in the back of the head and Aemond giggled at his brother who rubbed his hand where he had been struck.

"Go see your niece, Aegon" she said loud enough for the king to hear. Viserys turned to his son and motioned with his head towards the child. "Come Closer, boy"

The three children approached the girl and looked at her questioningly. Aegon looked like he wanted nothing more than to leave, Helaena smiled at the sleeping girl and kissed her forehead and Aemond looked at the child with administration, he wanted to play with her. "She small" he whispered to his mother, Alicent running her hand through his hair and giggling at her youngest son.

"Does it have a name?" Aegon asked lazily. The queen nudged him, as a reminder of his behavior.

Rhaenyra and Laenor looked at each other, they hadn't decided on a name yet. "We haven't discussed names yet. But we would be honored if His Grace the King would honor us by naming her".

Viserys's smile grew even wider, making his family slightly worried that he's mounth would fall off. Viserys took his time thinking of a name, He felt like he needed to think about it very carefully.

"This girl will grow up to be the most beautiful in the seven kingdoms. I feel she has a strong soul, what could be more fitting than naming her after my late mother, Alyssa Targaryen.

"An exelent choice, your grace" Ser Laenor expressed as he smiled down at Rhaenyra, who too seemed pleased. Viserys handed Alyssa back to her mother.

"My dear girl, my dear Alyssa"
