ON A BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY

JENNIE

I woke up around 9am and rushed when I saw the time. Took a bath and just wore a simple white canvass type dress and my slim sandals and brown sling bag.

When I got out, I tried to knock on her door. But the hotel keeper was the one who opened the door and she is still fixing Lisa's room.
She told me that she just got out.

What a fate right? We're in the same place and same hotel.

I rushed out hoping that I would still catch her.

Then there she is at the bike shop beside our hotel, in a brown lose polo and white Thai fisherman pants and her brown bucket hat. And her light brown sexy eyes that the sun never failed to show.

"Lis!"
I called her.

"Oh, Jen!"

"I thought you went back to Paris already."
I said.

"Hmmm. No. Flight's still tomorrow at 8am."
She said.

"Oh. Same here. French Airline?"
I asked.
She nodded.

"Where are you heading to now?"
She asked.

"Ubud."
I said.
She stopped checking out the motorbike she's renting and looked at me.

"Ubud? I'm going there too. For– for Balinese healing."
She said and I was surprised.

"I– I am going there too for— for Balinese healing, Lisa."
I said and we both chuckled.

She rented another helmet for me and I guess we already undestood each other.

She placed the helmet on my head and adjusted it.
We rode the motorbike and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

God.
My palms on her
abdomen.
Her scent. Ugh!
Jen, calm down.

We stopped over another native restaurant and ate before we continue the ride.

"Remember our first movie together at home?"
She asked.

"Eat.Pray.Love."
I said and smiled.
I blushed remembering that moment.

"Thanks to that film. We're doing the Balinese healing now! Will Julia Roberts be proud of us after this?"
She said and we both laughed.

We continued our ride going to Ubud.
Until we reached the healing place.

It's so nice and you really can feel the traditional Bali vibe!

We're both excited for body reading which contains spiritual reading too. Of course, we also grabbed the body balancing and healing massage.
After the activity, one of the Balians talked to us.

"Are you two lovers?"
She asked while Lisa and I drink the traditional medicinal tea they offered.

Lisa cleared her throat.

"Hmmm. We're ex-lovers. We were married before. And we just met unexpectedly here in Bali."
She said.
Wow! Lisa can now say it straight.

"Oh. So this is why I have been feeling something. A strong connection. Can't you feel the pull?
The pull the brings you closer together."
She said and Lisa and I looked at each other.

We felt our bodies and mind became lighter after the experience.

We went back to Sanur with a bit of stops on the road. Trying out more local delicacies. Eating here and there. She takes photos of me and the surroundings as well.
