Harry’s P.O.V.

I ran through the woods as fast as my inhuman speed would allow, but the silver bullet that was stuck in my abdomen was weakening me, making me as fast as a human. My legs were starting to become weak and I propped myself against a tree. In a blink of an eye, Liam was standing in front of me. Eyes full of worry.

“Harry what happened?” He asked examining my blood soaked shirt.

I ripped my shirt off and looked at my wound. It was a deep hole next to my ribs, sizzling with smoke. “Liam, get the bullet out.” I said through gritted teeth. He hesitated for a moment but then quickly poked his fingers in the wound. I cried out in pain as his fingers dug for the bullet. Breaking off pieces of bark from the tree I was leaning on and shifting back to my true face. Liam eventually got the bullet out, and then dropped it to the ground as it burned his fingers.

“Silver bullets.” Liam growled. He kneeled down and picked up the bullet with my shirt so it wouldn’t burn his skin. He held it in his palm and examined it closely. It was a tiny, sterling silver bullet, with a cross carved into the end. The boys had told me plenty about vampire hunters, but in my hundred years I’ve never ran into one. And I just exposed us all…

“I’m gonna kill him.” Liam growled.

I grabbed him by the arm and held him in his place. “Liam, you can’t! It’s Dylan’s Dad. He was just doing what he had to do.”

“Are you actually standing up for him!? He shot you Haz! What the hell happened?”

“Cole happened. He…he tried to kill Sam. Edgar killed him, and then when I got there he shot me. I don’t know how he knew what I was,… but he did!”

“Why were you there?” Liam asked.

“I don’t know…I…back at the school…I felt something. Like… this pit in my stomach. I knew something bad was happening, and every part of my body was screaming at me to find Sam. I followed her scent, and then when I got close enough I could hear what Cole was thinking. I could smell…her blood…”

“Is she…” Liam trailed off.

“No. Edgar saved her.”

I don’t know how I controlled myself so well. Especially earlier, in the restroom. Thinking about it made my skin tingle, her touch, her moans. Everything about it put me in a type of trance. I don’t understand though…for a whole month I wanted to rip her throat out. And when I actually could’ve, I controlled it. And a part of me…was starting to believe it was because…Liam might be right….

“Let’s get you home mate.” Liam sighed.

“Liam wait…Something else happened.”

“What then?”

I didn’t know how to say it, I already had a hunter after me, but for some reason I felt like this was so much worse. So I didn’t say it…

“She saw me…” I thought.

Vampires…

Vampires?

Vampires!

They were real, and I just got attacked by one. Just got bit by one, just saw one die. And Harry was one. Vampires. Demons that feed on blood and kill for fun. How…how do you take that in? Am I dreaming? I must be dreaming. Because this is something that only happens in nightmares…
