Next day
Reagan was practically jumping with joy at the front door.
We were all standing in the living room, waiting for our Elders and Alphas to prepare the list. I knew for a fact that Reagan wouldn't know what the hell any of it was, so it was good we were going with her.
A part of me was scared. We all were, but not Reagan. We've only been out of the city one time. We went to Reagan's apartment. Whenever we encountered the witches, they came to us. Well, to a spot we agreed upon deeper into the forest. It is dangerous for them to know where you stay.
If you get on the wrong side of a witch, your whole year could be fucked.
I stretched my body out, hating how the clothes on my body felt. I hate clothes; they're restrictive and uncomfortable, but it's unacceptable to walk around the human world nude.
The worst part was the fact that we were wearing jeans—the worst pair of clothing ever. I was going to wear sweats, but Reagan told me no. She told all of us no. Ridiculous.
I glared at the offending clothing on my legs.
"Stop being such big babies. This won't take long anyway." Reagan scoffed at us.
I snarled. "Why must humans be so conservative?! What is wrong with being nude?" I complained.
I could see Reagan trying to keep herself from laughing. "It's not about being conservative. It's about respect. Not everyone just wants to get a face full of ass all the time."
"You love seeing our asses," Iris said, smiling.
Reagan hummed. "Yes, but they are only for my eyes... and well, I guess our Elders and Alphas too. I am the only human who gets to see them," she argued.
The shoes on my feet were no better. Why the fuck were they so tight.
Lennox and Avah came downstairs with a small piece of paper. I was going to ask where Karina and Celia were, but the sound of a headboard banging on the wall told me everything I needed to know.
Avah laughed. "Why'd you get dressed? Do you intend to walk on your two feet back to the city?" she asked curiously.
I grit my teeth. "Dammit!" I yelled and threw off the uncomfortable shirt.
My mates stripped out of their clothes as well. "Can't believe we have to put this back on." Ivy groaned.
"Awwww, poor babies." Reagan faked a pout at us.
Rose chopped her teeth, Reagan playfully. "Watch it, Little Fawn."
Reagan smirked. "Or what?"
The hell has gotten into her. She's been... bold lately.
I raised a brow at her. "One would think you are going back into heat." I laughed when she scoffed.
"I'll be waiting outside. Hurry, please." She said, opening the door and walking out.
Avah handed Ivy the paper. "She's bossy. I love it." Avah spoke as she moved to sit on the couch.
I huffed. "Tell me about it."
"Be safe, and watch after each other." Lennox said, sitting next to Avah. "humans are... dangerous in their own way."
