We were all standing outside. The moonlight was shining over our bodies.
Ivy cracked her neck. While Rose and Hazel watched us like starving animals.
"Are we supposed to shift to, or are we leaving that to Hazel and Rose?" Ivy asked no one in particular.
I stood there thinking it over, but before I could respond, Reagan budded in. "I think it's only fair that you remain like this. If I have to run on two legs, so do you two," she said, pointing at Ivy and me.
I tilted my head, a smile playing on my lips. "You do know that even on two legs, we are still faster than you, right?"
She narrowed her eyes at me. "I don't need to be faster than you." She pointed at Rose and Hazel. "I don't even need to be faster than them. I just need to be able to outsmart you four." she grinned. "I did it once. I know for a fact I can do it again."
I stretched out my legs and back. "Very confident."
Hazel hummed. "I mean, she did kind of outsmart us."
Rose smiled at Reagan. "You used our inability to stay in control when you're aroused to trick us."
Reagan nodded her head, smiling. "Yeah. Outsmarting you all. I'm a genius."
Hazel and Rose were practically beaming with energy. "Okay, okay. Are you three stretched yet?!" Rose asked frantically.
"Alrighty, let's get these over with." Reagan took off running, laughing the entire way. "I get a three-minute headstart!!" she shouted out to us.
We all looked out at her and then back at each other. Hazel grinned. "Would you two like a headstart."
Ivy gasped. "You know you still won't be able to catch us even if we didn't get a head start, right?"
I raised a brow at them. "We are not deer, loves. And just like Reagan, we won't make this easy for you." I said, taking off.
Ivy giggled before following after me.

About an hour later
"What the fuck!?" Reagan squealed from a few yards away. "How the hell did you find me?" she continued to yell, scolding our mates.
I laughed from the top of a boulder; this entire time we've been out here, it's just been Hazel and Rose tackling us to the ground every time they find us. They tackled us, licked our cheek, and ran back off, giving us more time to run or hide.
Reagan has been trying to take the high ground, but Hazel and Rose have found her every time. They keep finding all of us. I'm not mad; it's fun, actually. But hearing Reagan get so into this is hilarious. She doesn't like to lose.
I heard Ivy chuckling from behind a tree. Rose was the one who found Reagan this time.
Hazel was currently on the hunt for me and Ivy. They've been strategic in chasing us. They were switching out in random formations, tricking us into who would come for us. It's scary, honestly.
We've seen them hunt before, and it was beautiful. They're quick, and to their prey, they're damn near non-existent. Being the prey was a lot scarier than I thought, especially with them as the hunters.
Reagan has been trying to trip them up. She started talking through the bond to see if that would knock them off their radar. If she speaks through the bond, then she can control her breathing while running better, and they won't hear her.
