Darry at first just tells you to count sheep and maybe strokes your hair a little. If that doesn't work he might try singing you a lullaby — very, very quietly because he doesn't want Soda and Pony to hear.

Sodapop will stay awake with you and talk your ear off about whatever comes to his mind in hopes of boring you into falling asleep. Other things he tries are making you warm milk with honey and rocking you back and forth on his lap.

Ponyboy will immediately offer to read to you until you fall asleep. He'll cuddle you close and read, read, read and get so caught up in the story he might not even notice when you've fallen asleep.

Johnny asks why you can't sleep, and if there's anything bothering you that's keeping you awake he'll let you rant about it until you've tired yourself out and fall asleep. If there's no specific reason he'll just lie with you and cuddle you.

Dallas has a stash of sleeping pills he stole for cases like this. He'll give you one and send you back to bed (with a kiss to your forehead if you're lucky).

Two-Bit's solution is alcohol. He's sure it'll make you nice and sleepy, and don't worry, he won't give you much! He'll also cuddle you with a hand over your eyes because he thinks that'll help you sleep too.

Steve tries the warm milk with honey approach, combined with a little cuddling. If that doesn't work he pretends to suffocate you with your pillow, before telling to go read a boring book or something like that that'll lull you to sleep.
