{Pref.} When You're Sick

Info: Platonic. Sibling!reader.

Darry goes full mother-hen mode. He can't stay home from work, but he'll make a big pot of tea for you before he leaves and make sure Soda and/or Pony keep an eye on you while he's gone. When he comes home he'll check if you drank your tea and make another one, and for supper you're getting a nice chicken broth. He will definitely get up to check on you a few times during the night, and he will not hesitate to drag you to the doctor if you're not feeling better after a couple days.

Soda is mostly acting as emotional support and leaves the actual taking care of you to Darry. He'll make sure you drink your tea like Darry said, and make sure you have everything else you might need, but his main role is cuddling you and petting your hair until you fall asleep.

Ponyboy watches you if Darry and Soda both have to work, and follows Darry's instructions to take care of you to the best of his ability, but when they're home they do the taking care and he'll do the reading to you.

Johnny is honestly most likely gonna bring you over to the Curtis' place if you get sick. He does not want you being stuck in the hateful environment that is your home, and is sure you'll get better much faster under the care of your friends. He's gonna stick to your side like glue, but you will not get cuddles because he doesn't want to get sick too. If you ask nicely you can cuddle with Soda, though.

Dallas... Dallas is not good at taking care of sick people. At all. He feels extremely helpless and tries to cover it up by acting like he doesn't care, and ends up asking Darry for help, who'll tell him to make you some tea and make sure you rest. And you'd better drink that tea, kid, because Dally put a lot of effort into making that!! Seriously, if you don't drink it he'll be pissed. He's not good at showing affection, but if you beg he'll cuddle with you, and when he thinks you're asleep he's gonna kiss your forehead.

Two-Bit is a mess, but somehow he still does a pretty good job of looking after you while your mom has to work. She'll give him very clear instructions and leave some chicken broth that he only has to heat up for you. He'll build you a super comfy pillow fort in the living room where he curls up with you so you guys can watch mickey mouse, and generally do whatever he can to cheer you up and distract you from the fact that you're sick. He's also gonna make sure your little sister doesn't get too close so she won't catch whatever you have.

Steve will try his best, but he honestly isn't very good at taking care of people. He'll forbid you from getting out of bed, and after asking Soda for advice bring you some tea, too, but that's about it. He might pet your hair a bit and sit with you until you're asleep (sleep is the best medicine after all, so he'll make sure you get lots of it), but don't expect cuddles, because he does not want to get sick too.
