Shizen no Kokyou. (Shinobu x Male Reader) [COMPLETED]

Chapter 27

We see birds chirping happily, until their chirping is cut short by screams of young slayers going through the final training, along with the other Hashiras, including Y/N.

And that training...

Was conducted by none other than Gyomei Himejima.

It consisted of three stages.

Stage one was to stand at the end of a waterfall, taking all the force of the water on your body while maintaining Total Concentration breathing.

Then, stage two. Here, one would have to carry thick, and I mean, THICK logs up a mountain to enhance their core strength.

After that, the third stage would be to push a huge boulder, that literally towered over the slayers, for about a hundred metres.

Y/N somehow managed to stay under the waterfall for half an hour, as he looks towards the slayers and sees them hugging the rocks that they're supposed to push after another test.

He notices that Tanjiro and the others were there too, so he approaches them.

Y/N: Tanjiro...?

The redhead boy looks back as he smiles at Y/N.

Y/N: Mr. L/N! The Hashiras are training as well?!

Y/N just nods as he points at the slayers hugging the rocks, while Zenitsu cried for his mother while hugging the rock, almost as if he was hugging his mother herself.

Tanjiro: *sigh* They came to the conclusion that the rocks were warm, after staying in the water.

Y/N nods as he goes to hug a rock himself. Through this whole time, his face was the usual Y/N face, but the moment his body touches the rock, he melts on the spot and hugs the rock tightly, trying to take in all the warmth the rock had to offer.

Tanjiro chuckles as he looks at Inosuke, who was still under the waterfall. He thinks that Inosuke was holding up pretty good, until he realises that the chants one was supposed to do while sitting under the waterfall, were not audible from the boar-mask boy.

This meant that Inosuke had passed out from the pressure. Tanjiro quickly brought the boy out of the waterfall as he tried to revive him.

Later the day, Y/N was standing with a  bamboo sword in his hand.

Worker: Now then... We will begin this Hashira sparring match. The Nature Hashira. Y/N L/N. Versus. The Love Hashira. Mitsuri Kanroji.

Mitsuri looks at Y/N with a confident look on her face.

Mitsuri: Don't think I'll go easy on you because you're such a good friend of mine, L/N.

Y/N: Right.

Worker: BEGIN!

Mitsuri: Love Breathing. First form.

Y/N: Nature Breathing. First form.

Mitsuri: Shivers of first love!

Y/N: Teardrops of the sky!

Mitsuri goes in for a horizontal swing with her bamboo sword, as Y/N sends a strike vertical strike to counter it, as the two attacks collide, and the two Hashiras jump back.

Y/N: Nature Breathing. Fourth form.

Mitsuri: Love Breathing. Second form.

Y/N: Peaceful Wind!

Mitsuri: Love pangs!

Y/N sends a horizontal strike, as Mitsuri counters it with a strike of her own.

The two attacks collide, as the bamboo swords break a bit from the force.

Mitsuri: So how are things going on with you and Koucho?

Y/N: *smiling* They're going greatly, really.

Mitsuri: It's probably time to end this fight, huh?

Y/N nods.

Mitsuri&Y/N: Total Concentration Breathing.

Mitsuri: Love Breathing. Fifth form.

Y/N: Nature Breathing. Sixth form.

Mitsuri: Swaying Love, Wildclaw.

Y/N: Tranquility.

Mitsuri readies an attack, but before she could even do anything, she felt Y/N literally walk past her, while she couldn't even move, as he strokes her bamboo sword, breaking it instantly.

Mitsuri takes a long breath, as she looks at the broken part of her sword on the ground and looks at Y/N, seriously impressed by his skills.

Mitsuri: What was that, Y/N?! You were like WOOSH! And I couldn't even move! Then you went SCREEE! and broke my sword in two!

Y/N blushes from the praise and hides his face in embarrassment, as Mitsuri pats his back while laughing.

Suddenly, the two feel two sharp gazes on them.

Y/N turns around to see Obanai glaring at him.

Mitsuri turns around to see Shinobu smiling at her with her classic closed eye smile.

Obanai: *growling* L/N...!

Shinobu: Kanroji... ^_^

The Nature and Love Hashira could do nothing but chuckle nervously, as they both tried to calm the other two Hashiras.

A few days later, we see Y/N take a deep breath as he closes his eyes. The flashes of him burying Ai and the town mayor go through his mind, as he clenches his fists open his eyes, as  boy looks ahead of him to see the huge boulder of the final phase of Gyomei's training.

Y/N: Total Concentration breathing...! Constant!

He starts to push the boulder, but it doesn't move.

Y/N: Use your hips and legs...!

The nerves on his legs pop out, as he grits his teeth while doing his best to push the boulder.

A second or two later, Y/N manages to push the boulder just a tiny bit, as the slayer present there gasp and look at Y/N in shock.

Y/N: Don't stop...! If you stop now, the strength you've summed up will leave your body, and you'll go immobile...! Keep pushing...! Keep pushing, Y/N...!

He keeps pushing the boulder with all that he had, while the other slayers cheered him on, as he soon pushed the boulder for a whole cho.

Y/N falls on the ground, completely dehydrated as he looks at the sky.

Y/N: I did it... Kyou-nii...!
