"I'm kicking you out." John says, holding an empty suitcase. "Wh.. what..?" Alexander queries, in a state of shock. "Its not you, its me." John starts, "I can't live with the fact that you have Thomas over. In that sense, I can't live with you. I'm sorry. Call me dramatic, but I thought we had something." John explains.
Alexander is shocked, it hasn't hit him yet. Thomas scoffs, gets up, and walks towards John. "You're seriously kickin' him out 'cause you're jealous that he has friends other than you?" Thomas queries. John rolls his eyes. "No, it's really your fault that I'm kicking him out." John begins, "I know you're using him."
Thomas chuckles in utter disbelief. "You're delusional, darlin'."
Alexander goes upstairs without a word. Thomas and John watch him go upstairs. Thomas and John glare at each other again. "You couldn't possibly know Alexander as well as me." John mutters to Thomas. "That's true, but if I did know 'em as well as you, I wouldn't kick him out because of my own fuckin' problems." Thomas expresses angrily to John.
"I'm only kicking him out because I won't stand here and watch him be manipulated by a snake!" John snaps at Thomas. Thomas' eyebrows rise. "Manipulated? Okay, Johnny. Believe what'cha want. This is a free country, after all."
Alexander comes downstairs with a sleeping Phillip and clothes in his arms, and Alexander has changed into a new outfit. Alexander grabs the suitcase from John and starts stuffing the supplies and clothes in it. Alexander's face is stone cold, not expressing any emotion. Thomas crouches down next to Alexander. "You alright?" He asks. Alexander just sighs and continues packing the suitcase with Phillip in his other arm.
John is staring off into space, trying not to feel bad for what he's doing. Thomas just huffs and stands up. Thomas puts on his shoes by the door.
Alexander zips the suitcase and picks it up, starting to walk out.
"Wait, Alex!" John yells out. Alexander stops and looks back at John. "I'm sorry, Alex."
Alexander just glares at him. "You think Thomas is self-centered, John, but I'm starting to think it's you." Alexander responds with building up in his eyes. He hurries out the door, tears streaming down his face. After Alexander leaves the house, Thomas flips off John for an uncomfortable amount of time.
"Will you stop?" John inquires, annoyed.
"No." Thomas responds, still flipping him off.
"Get out my house.." John adds, facepalming.
Thomas then flips off John on his way out. John shakes his head.
When Thomas gets outside, he sees Alexander crying in the driver's seat of his car, with Phillip, now awake, in the back. Thomas walks up to the car and knocks on the window with his index finger.
Alexander stops crying for a moment and sniffles; then he rolls down the window. "Alexander.. Can I come in?" Thomas questions, worried. Alex just nods and blows his nose in a napkin. Thomas walks around the front of the car and sits in the front passengers seat next to Alexander. Alexander whimpers into his hands.
Phillip is in his car seat, looking very distressed. "Tall man?" he mutters to Thomas. Thomas takes his eyes off of Alex and turns to Phillip. "Yes, kiddo?" Phillip hesitates. "Why's papa crying? Is he okay?" Phillip questions, worried for his dad. Thomas sighs. "Your daddy's just a little upset right now, kiddo. He'll be fine, he's okay." Thomas reassures Phillip. Phillip smiles faintly.
Alexander sniffles and blows his nose in a napkin. "Alexander.. Everything'll turn out okay." Thomas attempts at reassuring Alexander. It does not work. "How do you know!?" Alex exclaims through gasps and tears. "I don't have a place to go, Thomas! I have a kid to feed.. I.." Alexander stops abruptly and sobs into his hands.
"Sorry." Thomas mumbles. Alexander shakes his head and sniffles. He looks at Thomas. "It's not your fault." he murmurs. Thomas shakes his head. "It is my fault, ain't it? Look. I'll leave ya alone if it means John'll let you move back in." Thomas says while rubbing Alex's back. "What do you mean 'leave me alone'..?" Alexander queries.
Thomas sighs. "I mean I wont bother ya anymore, Alex. If it means you keep a roof over your head, I'll stay away from you." Thomas says, his voice getting noticeably shakier as he talked. Alexander shakes his head. "I dont want that. I dont want that at all!" Alexander exclaims while he cries. Thomas frowns.
"I'll go tell John that I'm leavin ya alone so you can move back in with him." Thomas calmly states. Thomas is about to open the door when Alexander grabs his arm and yells "No!"
"Whaddya mean 'no', Alex..?" Thomas queries, baffled.
"Stay here with me, please.. I know we're not close, but.." Alexander pleads, tightening his grip on Thomas' arm. Thomas interrupts, "I'm doing whats best for you, Alexander." Thomas responds while caressing Alexander's cheek.
"We can't just go back to hating each other because of John, Thomas!" Alex exclaims desperately to Thomas. "I.. I can't hate you.." he mumbles. Thomas inhales sharply. "I can't.. hate you either, Alexander." he mutters under his breath. Alexander sniffles and glances at the house.
Thomas sighs, then suddenly his eyes light up. Thomas grabs Alexander's hands softly. "Alexander, do you wanna live with me until you get your own place?" He asks, softly. Alexander's tears are like a waterfall. "Yes..! Please!" Alexander pleads, quite loudly. Thomas smiles faintly. Thomas then wipes Alexander's tears. Thomas and Alexander switch seats so Thomas can drive.
"No more cryin', Alex. You're movin' in with me."
