They work and work until evening arrives, it's 6:47 and Thomas is getting a bit bored and hungry.

"Alex, pardon me but I'ma help myself to some food, I'm starvin'!" As one could tell, Thomas was starvin'.

"Ah ah ah. C'mon , we'll never finish this if you take a break now! Just a few more paragraphs? For me?" Alexander pleads.

Thomas does not fall victim to it, though. "Yeah no. Work can wait, I'm eating. You should eat too, dumbass. You didn't even eat lunch today."

Alexander huffs in frustration and wipes the sweat from his forehead. "Fine, fine. Lets take a snack break."

"Hmhmhm. Snack? More like dinner, darlin'. I'm ravenous!" Thomas then dramatically slides down the wall.

Alexander can't help but laugh. "Alright that's enough, drama queen. We're eating!" Alexander says while closing his laptop and being dragged into the kitchen by Thomas.

When they arrive in the kitchen, Thomas quickly grabs a pre-made ham and cheese sandwich from the fridge. He really was hungry.

Alexander's stomach is growling, and he's dehydrated too. Especially from all that crying earlier. He's not looking too good, actually he's looking rather sickly.

John walks in and ignores Thomas, walking straight to Alexander. He hugs Alexander from behind.

  "Hiiii, Alexanderr~" he purrs.

Alexander flinches from the sudden touch, then relaxes when he notices it's John. "Hi, John.. How is Phillip doing?" Alexander asks while John's arms are wrapped around him. Thomas glances at them for a second but ultimately is more amused by his sandwich.

"Phillip is doing well, Alex. Don't worry. I've kept him happy, fed, and occupied." John reassures Alexander.

"Thank heavens for your help, John. After the divorce, I was worried about him, you know.. I knew it was a lot on him. I just want the best for him and.."

"Shh, I know. He's doing much better now, though. Ain't he?" John smiles.

"Luckily." Alexander says while holding John's arms that are still wrapped around him.

Thomas is still nosey, as he was listening in and staring at them from behind the whole time when he was supposed to be eating his sandwich. He has so many questions.

'DIVORCE?? When? Why? Who?'

'Why is John holding him like that?'

'Are they dating?'

Thomas' thoughts are then interrupted by.. Phillip?

"Pardon me, tall man -" Thomas looks down to see a small child tugging his shirt. The kid looks about five. Very small. "I like your hair."

Thomas smiles warmly. "Thanks, darlin'. Took me years to grow out these natural beautiful curls, you know." Thomas then flips his hair around.

Phillip giggles. "Papa! Your friend is so funny and he has fluffy hair! Can we keep him?"

At this point, John is washing dishes and Alexander is eating an apple. Alexander immediately realizes what Phillip just proposed, and he almost chokes on the apple.

  "Huh!? Keep him?"

  "Yeah! Like we keep John!"

  "No, no, honey-"

Thomas bursts into laughter despite Phillip's statement. Alexander is deep red in blush from embarrassment. John scoffs and rolls his eyes from the mere thought of "keeping" Thomas.

Thomas notices Alexander's flustered look and decides he'll take it from here.

"Phillip, darlin'. I'd love for y'all to keep me! Really! But I got my own house. I can't just move out now, can I?"

  "Awww.."

Thomas pats Phillip's head, similarly to how Alexander pats it, and strolls into the living room.

Alexander is much more relaxed now, knowing Thomas didn't take anything the wrong way. John seems to have been tuning Thomas out, though.

"Alexander, may I have a word with you?" John asks, seemingly concerned.

"Hm? Oh, sure. What about?" Alexander inquires.

"It's about Thomas."
