Part 25

Ella’s POV

Me and Logan were in the waiting room at the doctor's office.

-“Elizabeth Rodriguez?” the nurse called out my name

-“Yes?”

-“The doctor will see you know”

The Dr. Bates had all set up in his office. I sat and he told me to pull up my blouse over my belly and he squirted some gel on it; the gel was really cold. 

He started moving the ultrasound wand over my belly and a minute later he said.

-“Here is your baby!” Logan grabbed my hand and his face was priceless. “Would you like to know the sex of the baby?”

-“Yes please!” I was so eager to know if I was having a boy or a girl. 

The doctor started moving the wand again and finally he paused and announced to us

-“Congratulations miss; you are having a very healthy baby boy!” My eyes started to water and I felt Logan kiss my hand, he had happy tears in his face. 

The doctor cleaned me up and said to make an appointment for next month, and that everything was going perfect. I had a healthy little baby boy in me. 

-"Thank you Dr. Bates see you next mont" I said as me and Logan made our way out.

-“Ella would you like to go to lunch with me?” I was amazed he asked

-“That would be nice” It’s so hard to be friends with the man you love. Especially when you know he loves you too. I just don’t want to get hurt. I don’t know if I can take it.

We had a lovely lunch. He kept intertwining our fingers from across the table. I’ve missed him so much. And him being this sweet is killing me on the inside. The way his eyes locked with mine was breathtaking. There were no need for words; we just had to look into each other’s eyes. 

Logan took me back to his house and I sat in the sofa. I asked if he had some place I could lie down my feet were killing me, and he led me to his bedroom.

-“I forgot how comfortable this bed was” I said and he sat next to me. His eyes were scanning over my three and a half month belly “Logie you can feel my tummy if you’d like” there I go again calling him Logie, I just can’t help it.

He laid beside me and started to feel my tummy as I said he could. He leaned down and started to talk to the baby.

-“Hey there champ! I know you probably don’t understand me but I want you to know that I love you so much, and I love your mommy too, but shh… that is our little secret. When you get older I’m gonna take you to every basketball game you want, and I can teach you how to play too. I can’t wait to see you and have you in my arms.” I started to cry at the sound of his words. I stroked his hair as he continued to talk to our baby boy. As he was talking I felt the baby move and so did he.

-“Ella did you feel that?” He had a huge grin.

-“Yeah… He likes you!” I said, tears streaming down my face

-“No, please don’t cry… You're gonna be a wonderful mom!” he sat up straight and wiped the tears that had fallen out of my eyes and held me in his arms. I buried my face in his chest and held him tighter to me.

-“I hope so but that's not the reason Im crying. Is just that... I’ve missed this so much. It’s so hard seeing you every day and not be able to hug you and be in your arms, and now the baby. ”I broke down I couldn’t hold it in anymore I needed this man in my life; I didn’t want anybody else but him. 

-“I miss you too! Life is horrible without you in it.” He kissed the top of my head “I’m so sorry about everything and please give me the chance to make everything right. I need you Ella. I don’t want to lose you again.”

I pulled back just enough to look into his chocolate brown eyes.

-“Logan…” I wiped some of my tears away “promise me I won’t get hurt!” He went over to his night stand and pulled out a little blue box.

-“I’ve had this for a while now but I never had the courage to give it you, that is till today.” He opened the blue box and inside was an amazingly beautiful Verragio engagement ring. My eyes grew wide. Since when was he planning on doing this? “I was planning on proposing the day of our anniversary but my nerves got the best of me” I didn’t know what to say so he just continued “Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez would give me the honor of letting me be a father and starting over? But most of all would you do me the honor of being mine forever?” I nodded my head yes and he slipped the Verragio ring on my finger

-“I love you!” was all I could get out at the moment .He leaned closer to me and brushed his lips against mine. He kissed me with such sweet passion and said “I love you too” in between kisses. Everything was falling back to place again, and it felt so right to be in his arms again.
