Third Person's POV
Taehyung rushed passed the hospital gate, his hair bouncing with every movement, forehead covered in sweat.
The infirmary was also located in the hospital lobby, just beside the reception.
Taehyung was about to ask about his grandmother at the reception, but when his eyes wandered around for a second he noticed Jungkook getting out of the infirmary. He just thanked the receptionist before sprinting towards Jungkook.Jungkook looked taken aback when Taehyung stopped in front of him, panting hard.
"Oh god! Are you alright? Wait here, let me bring water-"
"N-nana, where's s-she?" Taehyung asked in his shaky voice.
"She's sitting there, let's go." Jungkook said and grabbed Taehyung's hand and dragged him towards the sitting area."Nana, I got your medicine. Let's get you home now, see even Taehyungie is here." Jungkook said as he crouched down in front of the old lady who had her eyes closed.
Taehyung sat beside her grandmother as he held onto her shoulder.
"Nana, are you feeling alright now?" Taehyung asked, his voice a bit rough.
"Oh Taehyung-ah, you're here. I am completely alright now, it's just the pain in my head increased so much suddenly that I couldn't even compose myself. If it wasn't for this little guy here, I don't know what I would do to be honest." Mrs. Kim said as she patted Jungkook's head, looking at him lovingly.
Taehyung probably has never been this thankful to anyone in his life. Jungkook was his saviour and he didn't even know how to show his gratefulness to Jungkook.
"It's nothing, Nana. Also Taehyung, here is a medicine of Vitamin D and also a painkiller. The doctor said that her Vitamin D is not upto the mark so give it to her after breakfast or after dinner once a week. And, the painkiller is for when the pain gets too much like it was today, other than that don't give it to her, it may harm her internal organs if it's overdosed. The reports are in her file, I arranged them properly so you can go through them, and if you want to talk to the doctor she said to call her after 8 at night cuz that's when her shift gets over." Jungkook explained everything to Taehyung as he motioned towards the paper bag in his hand.
"Okay, just tell me about the cost of the medicines I'll send it to you now." Taehyung said as he fisted out his phone from his denim pocket.
"Shut up! I didn't do anything for you, it's for Nana and I do not want any payment back." Jungkook snorted out as he grabbed the thin cotton bag - with the hospital logo printed over it - which also has her reports in it.
"I'll go get my car from the parking lot, help her get to the car okay?" Jungkook said to Taehyung as he walked out of the hospital with the medicines and reports and sprinted towards the parking lot."Nana, it'll probably take some time to get to your apartment, so sleep through it. If you need anything tell me I'll stop the car, alright?" Jungkook said as Taehyung tightened the seatbelt around around him.
"No worries, I'm alright." Mrs. Kim said before closing her eyes again.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung who had her brows furrowed and he could easily tell the other was deep in his thoughts so he let him he and put the car on drive."You remember right what medicine to give and when to give?" Jungkook asked for the fourth time as they climbed up the stairs.
"Jungkook-ah, by now even I remember everything. Don't worry so much, it's okay." Mrs. Kim chuckled out as they finally entered into their apartment.
Jungkook just let out a flustered "o-oh".
"I- I'll get going then." Jungkook said and was about to walk out of the room when Taehyung called out for him.
"Nana, change your hospital clothes and I'll just walk Jungkook to his car." Taehyung said to his grandmother as he helped her to get to her room."So...are you alright?" Jungkook asked Taehyung when the other didn't say a single word, just stared down at Jungkook's thumb which was caressing his hand.
"It's okay to be scared Taehyung, I understand you're scared to loose her and you're staying strong for her. I know you're staying strong for her but it's okay to give in to your emotions. You completely have a lot to let out-" Even before Jungkook could finish talking he was engulfed in a hug. Taehyung's hands tightly wrapped around his waist as the other sobs in his arms.
Jungkook instinctively wrapped his arms around the other'a nape, massaging it in a soothing manner to let the other know that he's there for him, no matter what he's there.
Taehyung just let himself cry in Jungkook's arms, he probably cried infront of someone after years. He just couldn't help it today.
When Jungkook called him and said his grandma isn't feeling well, he thought he lost everything for a moment, he still remembers the ache he felt in his chest when he heard Jungkook's shaky voice.
"I-I was so s-scare-ed. I th-thought I-I l-lost everything." Taehyung said between his sobs and Jungkook felt his heart breaking into millions of pieces.
Taehyung just looked like a baby crying in his arms, so innocent and fragile.
"I know Tae, I know. But look, she's okay now, she's not leaving you, I won't let her. I'm here for her as well, when you can't, I'll take care of her. And at times we both will take care of her. It'll be okay, she's okay now." Jungkook said in a hushed tone, making sure only the other hears him.
"You promise?" Taehyung truly sounded like a baby at that moment.
"Ofcourse! Now, breathe properly for me, try to breathe in and breathe out properly." Jungkook said as he rubbed circles in his back when he felt finally Taehyung's breathing getting regular.
