Pain seared through my chest and through out my entire body as i dropped his limp form to the ground. I gave an anguish filled howl and blood splattered from my snout.

The pain was so intense i didnt even realize i was shifting back to my human form until the howls turned into gut wrenching screams. It was like being set on fire at the same time as being repeatedly run over by a mac truck, every bone in my body felt like it was breaking, my skin felt like it was burning away.

I couldnt tell you how long the pain lasted only that when it finally started to subside it started in my left hand. The fire turned into a warm tingling sensation that spread slowly throughout my entire body, like a putting aloe vera on a sunburn it was an instant balm to my pain.

I opened my eyes to find that i was no longer in mary's bookstore but in what looked to be a sterile hospital room. Tubes and wires were hooked up to me and i was strapped down to the bed.

Turning my head i looked around to find the source of the tingling only to find an exhausted looking andy dozing silently beside me in a chair, he held my left hand tightly in his.

I opened my mouth to speak but no sound came out, my throat was to parched to speak, so instead i lay there and watched my mate for a while as he slept.

Yes, i do realize how creepy that sounds.

His dirty blonde hair was tousled and honestly a little greasy looking like he hadnt showered in a few days, he had large bags and dark circles under his eyes. His clothes were rumpled and his shirt had a stain on it from who knows what. The poor kid honestly looked like he had been through the ringer.

I gently tugged on my hand, trying to take it out of his grasp without waking him, i failed miserably though. As soon as i tugged on my hand andy's eyes flew open and met mine. He bolted out of his chair and hovered over me.

"Oh my goddess, your finally awake! Are you ok? How are you feeling?" he started rambling.

"Water" i finally managed to croak out, my throat completely dry.

"Shit! Right" andy reached over to the bedside table and grabbed the cup of water and brought the straw to my lips. I drank hungrily, like i had just spent a week in the desert and this was my salvation.

After i had drained the glass andy took the cup away. "Can you untie me?" i asked looking down at the restraints that criss crossed my body.

"You have to promise to stay in bed and not get up, ok? You went through a huge ordeal the other day-"

"The other day?" i asked my eyes wide.

Andy nodded, "you've been out for two days. I'm so sorry it took me so long to get here, my love. I drove all day and all night to get here but i wasnt fast enough to take the pain away sooner. I am so sorry, my love" tears began to form in his eyes as he started to undo my restraints.

When i was finally free i sat up and grabbed ahold of andy's arm, pulling him towards me until he was right beside the head of the bed. "You have nothing to be sorry for." i said simply, ignoring the pain that came with moving.

"I should of been here, you wouldnt of had to do what you did if i was here-"

"Stop" i said, interrupting andy. "It was my choice to kill him, you wouldnt have been able to stop me, no one could"

Andy shook his head, "i could have calmed you down or done something to stop you"

I sighed, "no, you really couldnt have. Andy, he killed jane, the man deserved to die" my chest constricted even tighter than before making it hard to breath. Just the mention of jasper hurt.
