Chapter 27

I ended up falling asleep half way through the movie and had to be carried to bed by andy, because in mary's words "your ass wouldnt of woken up for a tsunami".

The next morning i woke up to andy laying on my chest and drooling, because of course he was. When i tried to move he jus tightened his grip on my waist and grunted. I thought about using the old "im gonna pee on you" trick but decided against it once i saw that we still had an hour left until we had to get up.

I ended up just laying there and reflecting on the last week. Between physical and magical training andy and i really hadnt had any time just to ourselves to relax and enjoy each others company. We usually only got a few minutes in the morning and that was spent rushing around and getting ready to go, or walking to get a cup of coffee. Besides that we were constantly surrounded by people, between our friends and family and our charges, we never really got a moment to just be us. Hell we havent even had sex in over a week because we have both been to exhausted by the end of the day.

The realization struck me that i missed andy, yeah i got to pretty much spend every moment of the day with him but it wasnt the same as actually spending time with him. We needed to find time to just be with each other, even if it was just for a few minutes at the end of the day or not sitting with our group at lunch, we needed time together. I was worried that the bond between us would weaken if we didnt start spending time actually together.

"Hey you" andy yawned, groggily.

I looked down at him and smiled "hey handsome" i started running my hands through his hair and he closed his eyes.

"That feels nice, you know i love it when you do that." he said with almost a pur.

"We need to get up soon" i sighed.

"Five more minutes?" andy asked, tightening his hold on me once again.

I smiled down at him, "ok. You know im really sorry we havent really had any time together lately, things have just been super crazy."

Andy leaned up so that we were eye to eye, "its not your fault, baby, your right things have been really crazy lately and we have both had alot on our plates. We will get through this, thats what mates do, we face trials and tribulations but we will always end up on top. I love you, kari."

"I love you, too. Have i ever mentioned that im the luckiest woman in the world to have you as my mate?"

"You could stand to mention it more" he said, leaning forward to kiss me, our lips only inches apart.

There was a knock on the door and i had the sudden urge to scream. We were so close to a really romantic moment and of course it gets ruined.

"What?" i hollered towards the door as andy silently giggled.

"Hey sorry guys, but alissa sent me to get you, the reinforcements are here and their alpha is asking for you." anna called through the door. I groaned.

"The chosen ones job is never done." andy sighed and then pecked me on the lips before releasing me. He slid out of bed and walked over to the dresser, looking for our clothes.

"We will be down shortly" i hollered to anna while rolling my eyes, then to andy i said, "can i just not be the chosen one? Please?"

He shook his head as he held up a couple pairs of shorts for me to choose from, "sorry, love but thats not how it works, plus the Goddess has already marked you. Now help me figure out what we are wearing today, we should probably look presentable for once."

"The black ones, obviously. Im not going to dress up for some visitors when we have training today so just grab me one of my cutoffs, oohh grab the percy jackson one, i havent worn that yet." i said as i dragged myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom to the shower.
