Chapter 24

I awoke with a start, my forehead tingling. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom, something was telling me to look in the mirror. I froze as i stared at myself in the reflective surface, what the fuck was that? Right over my left eye was a sunburst freckle a little larger than the Goddesses. She had marked me as her own, literally marked me with her own special mark.

"Is everything ok?" came andy's sleepy voice from the bedroom.

"Uh, yeah everythings fine!" i called back a little too enthusiastically.

"You sure?" he asked.

I nodded then slapped a hand to my forehead for being an idiot because of course he couldn't see me nodding. "Yeah, babe everythings fine." this time my voice came out alot calmer and more sure. "I just really had to pee." ok that wasnt a total lie, my bladder was screaming at me.

I sat down to relieve myself and tried to think of what i was going to do, andy would notice the new mark right away, i mean he was my mate after all and spent a lot of time just looking at me like i did to him. Could i tell him about my dream with the Goddess? Would that be allowed? I mean she didnt specifically tell me not to tell him, and i am supposed to share everything with my mate. But what about everyone else? Could i tell everyone about my dream or should i keep it secret?

What about what she said that this wasnt the end for me? How did she put it that im going to face a different battle that could change the fate of the world? What the fuck does that mean? Isnt one oncoming storm enough for one person to face? But i wasnt alone, she had made that very clear, i am supposed to lean on those around me for everything, maybe that included what the Goddess told me too.

When i was done relieving myself i flushed and walked out into the bedroom. "Ok, so i might have fibbed a little bit, everything is not exactly fine, its-"

"Whats that on your face?" andy asked, pointing to right over my left eye.

I sighed, "what if i told you it was a mark from the Goddess, would you believe me?"

Andy sat up in bed, the blankets falling away to reveal his bare chest. "I mean it wouldnt exactly surprise me, but can i get some context please? Maybe while we go get some coffee? Im still exhausted."

I nodded, "yeah, we can do that. Why dont i text everyone and have them meet us at the cafe so i can just explain this all to everyone at once, it will be easier that way."

Andy agreed. We texted the group and told them to meet us at the coffee shop in town and got dressed, throwing on a pair of loose fitting shorts and plain black tee.

When we were ready to go we left the pack house and headed towards the coffee shop. Making small talk as we walked.

We arrived at the coffee shop to find that it had just opened and our family and friends were already there, coffee cups in hand. When we walked up to them anna handed me a cup of coffee and mark handed andy his own. We thanked them and then found a table big enough for all of us to sit around. I looked around at my group and realized alissa was missing.

"Wheres alissa?" i asked.

Anna shrugged, "i haven't seen her since yesterday, from what i heard she has been in her room since she left the training fields."

"I was hoping not to have to tell this story twice, but i guess i can tell her later." i said with a shrug. "So the Goddess visited me in my dream last night."

Yeah i got the exact reaction i was expecting, everyone's jaws dropped.

"Care to explain?" andy asked after a moment of silence where everyone just stared at me.
