When anna showed up we gave her the low down on what happened before she got there, and she blanched.

"So we really are gonna have to fight?" she asked. I nodded. "Against people who are more highly trained than we are?"

I nodded again then quickly added, "one thing we are taught from a young age is that training is to help us, yes, but in the heat of battle it all means nothing. When your in battle, they say, your mind goes blank and all you can really think about is whats right infront of you.it doesnt matter how many martial arts you know, or how many years you've practiced if you dont keep a clear head. In all reality the best training you can have is how to meditate and keep yourself calm when chaos is breaking out around you."

"Ok, but like have you met me? I know we've only known each other a short amount of time but if you cant tell im not exactly a calm person, i tend to over react and im very excitable. I know, i know, i hide it well but alot of times i just cant handle things so i talk alot and alot. Which alot of people dont believe because im naturally a quiet person, but-"

"Anna! Breath" i interrupted, before she could get herself worked up even more. The poor girl stopped her tirade and took a couple big deep breaths. "I can teach you how to meditate today instead of going to mary's. I'll just text mary and tell her change of plans, maybe she'll even want to join us"

Anna grinned, "would you really do that for me? That would be so totally awesome of you! I could really use alot of help. Are you any good at it?"

I shrugged, "andy's probably a little better than i am, i tend to get distracted easily, to be honest. I'm sure between the two of us though we can teach you. Let me just text mary and let her know whats going on and that we wont be over today." i pulled out my phone and sent the text explaining about the spies and what had happened and everything else, ending with the fact that we were skipping out on reading for the day to teach anna how to clear her impossibly busy mind. Mary texted back that since we were her only customers recently she was just going to shut down the store for the day and come join us.

"So is there any where quiet we can go? I know we can go back to the pack house and probably hide in one of our rooms, but its better to meditate out in nature" andy said and i nodded in agreement.

"Oh, yeah, we can go to the beach! I know the perfect spot that doesn't get to busy" anna suggested.

"Ok, that works, we just have to wait for mary. Apparently business is slow lately and we're really the only people who have come on all week so she's gonna close down for the day and come hang out with us. Maybe after we get meditation down andy and i can do some sparring and show you guys some of the stuff we learned growing up?" i added.

Anna nodded, "that would be awesome! Ive never really been good at fighting, i always get to distracted and never see the punches coming."

Anna? Distracted? Never! It took all of my concentration and will power not to roll my eyes. "Why dont we start out with getting you a cup of chamomile tea to help you relax?" i suggested to anna.

"Sounds like a good plan to me. I'll go buy you a cup "Andy said, getting up from his seat and heading towards the doors of the cafe.

"He's such a sweet guy, you are so lucky." anna said, leaning her head on her hands on the table and staring off after andy.

I had the sudden urge to rip her a new one for staring at my mate like that but pushed the thought away. Anna was my friend, there is no way she would ever put her hands on whats mine. "Yeah he really is."

"You should really be nicer to him, your always so sarcastic and mean to him" anna admonished, giving me a stern look.

A little taken aback i said, "i'm not being mean, maybe a little sarcastic at times, but its just how i show love. I'm the same way with mark and ally and i used to do the same thing with my bestie jane back in the day."
