Angel crossed her arms as she eyed Benji standing in front of her door with bags in her hand.

"You gonna let me cook for you lil baby?" She asked raising her eyebrow

She stood there in front of her with watery eyes, a stuffed nose, and a frown on my face. She felt like absolute shit.

Angel hated the cold but only around December because it was always a possibility for anyone to get sick but it wasn't ever a 50/50 chance with her. She knew she was going to get sick. She did take a covid test which came out negative but she did have a stomach bug and due to the cold weather her sinuses were going crazy.

Opening the door up she had let her walk inside of the large condo.

"You didn't have to come, B." Angel said knowing she was happy in the inside

She mention through a text earlier this week that she was feeling under the weather and not feeling too good.

"And let you run around Vegas tomorrow like a chicken head cut off?"

"I was going to be like that anyways."

"Mmm yeah I guess but you won't be feeling like this. At least not after I'm done making you feel better." She placed the bags on the kitchen counter

She peeked through the bags which caused her to earn a smart remark from Benji.

"I should pop ya hands like you did me."

Causing Angel to playfully rolled her eyes "Yeah but you won't."

She chuckled

"What are you cooking?"

"Soup."

"Soup?! Benji, what the hell is that going to do."

She laughed at her reaction "Chill out with allat. Let's not act like you don't know my roots."

Angel sat back and thought about that. She forgot where and how deep her family roots go. She honestly almost forgot her background life story.

Although she was from Brooklyn, Benji grandmother is Bajan & Louisiana creole. Her mom side was very southern. Her father was born in Baltimore and was raised out there before moving to Brooklyn in 89, the same year Benji was born. Her father's parents, her grandparents, were Dominican. So she did grow up knowing Spanish.

Angel just knew she rarely spoke it. She actually don't think she ever heard Benji speak it around her.

But I was sorta the same way.

Meanwhile Angel's family ancestry were Haitian, Puerto Rican and Dominican. When she was younger her mother mainly spoke Spanish around the house until she grew into her pre teens and she learned better English.

"Yeah I forgot your family cook history is crazy." Angel said

Angel watched as she washed her hands. She was such a clean person, she believed it was one of the reasons why she admired Benji as a person.
