"So you don't have anything to say?" The police officer says sitting across from Benji
It's been about two hours since damn near the while squad came barging into her condo and pulling out pounds of cocaine.
Benji leaned back in her chair while crossing her arms "Where's my son?"
"He's safe."
"Safe? Now he's safe but he wasn't safe when your guys came into my crib pointing y'all guns at his head." She said
"It was a search warrant. You should know how that go."
"And any right human with some common decency wouldn't point guns at a ten year old boy. Fuck outta here." She waved him off getting more pissed at him trying to justify their fucked up actions
"Where'd you get the drugs?"
Benji chuckled dryly holding her head in her hands, "How many times do I have to tell y'all that those weren't my drugs?"
"Yet they were in your house."
"Man I just got back from vacation, they weren't there before I left so put two things I just said together."
"So you have drug employees doing your dirty work for you?"
She scoffed "Get the fuck on with that bullshit." She waved him off, "I do music and produce hits not seek drugs and be a fucking drug lord. I left that shit almost ten years ago."
"Well if you said they aren't your drugs the who are they for?"
"I don't know!" She said frustratedly, "Obviously somebody had set me up."
"Like who?"
"I don't know. I don't have any enemies or any that I know of. I stay out of the damn way."
"Any exes or girlfriends you have? Any rebounds you're having sex with?"
"I have a girl but we're together right now."
"Do you think she's capable of setting you up?"
Benji sucked her teeth "Hell no."
The truth is that she knew exactly who did it or had a pretty good idea of who it was. But she wasn't going to say simply because she wanted to handle it on her own.
"I don't know who did it or any idea."
The officer sighed deeply before getting up "All you have to do is tell me the truth."
"I am. The fuck do I gotta lie for?" She asked, "If you don't believe me then do what you gotta do but I'm not going to plead or lie and say I fuck with drugs when I don't."
He nodded before getting up "Alright then. Come on get up."
Benji got up out of her chair and he walked over to hook his handcuffs on her.
