"Braxton, I really don't want to hear it." Angel says
"But ma-
She looked into her mirror and squinted her eyes at him making him huff but quiet and sit back
It was Friday afternoon and she was picking him up from school after getting suspended for fighting.
After a few minutes of the music playing she turned it down and sighed, "What's the problem, baby? Why are you fighting in school? That's not even like you to be." She asked calmly
Don't get her wrong she was pissed about the whole situation but she knew it was like him to be acting out in school.
He sighed, "I wasn't even trying to fight him. He's been messing with me ever since school started."
"And why didn't you tell me or your mom?"
"Because I knew I could handle it."
"And you handled it by fighting?"
"He hit me first. I was told that if somebody hit me to hit their ass back." He says before his eyes widened
"Wait no I'm sorry." He quickly apologized
She shook her head at him, "I'll let that slide. And who told you that?"
"My auntie Brandi and mom." He says
"Benji told you that?" She asked
He nodded, "Yeah. Amazing advice huh?" He slickly smiled but dropped it when Angel just stared back at him in her mirror
"I'll be talking to her about that." She says and he sighs
She pulled off once the light turned green, "Bracton why didn't you let us know this boy was picking on you? We could've solved this better than you whooping his ass."
"And I'm not saying this just to say it. I mean it. Braxton you just can't be fighting in school. You just started high school and depending on if you want to go to college or not, they look at things like that. You don't want fights and suspensions on your school record at all. Do you hear me?"
He nodded, "Yes ma'am."
"We'll finish this conversation when we get home."
"Okay" he says before she turned her r&b music back up
About fifteen minutes later they were pulling up to their home before getting out and heading inside.
Once they stepped foot inside. Zeus had rushed over to them.
"Hey boy." Braxton said bending down and rubbing his head
Angel locked the door and had set their alarm before walking past and heading into the office where Benji was sitting behind the desk and talking to someone on her computer.
"Yes Benji, we got more offers for Jake to join some artist on tour."
She nodded, "Anyone that makes sense?"
