"I can't believe you have a son." Doctor Kelly said
"You and me both." Benji said standing up from her chair and walked over to her book collection
"But everyone has been pretty accepting of the new changes in your life, right?" She asked
Benji shrugged "Not really but at the end of the day I don't really need anyones acceptance of my son. He's my son and I'm ready to be in his life so that's all that matters."
Kelly nodded "Right, let me rephrase that. I guess what I meant to ask was how did your friends and family take the news?"
"Well my family like my parents and grandparents were definitely caught off guard, I think everyone was or still are. But they are just ready to meet Braxton." She chuckled
"And Angel?" Kelly asked which caused Benji to stop touching the books sitting on her book stand
"Was she upset?"
Benji slowly nodded her "Mhm I guess. We got into it but I just need her to see it from my point of view."
Benji began think about the conversation.

The week prior
"And the album is sounding so dope, babe." Angel rambling on and on about Joey album
It wasn't done but he was making some tracks together for it and so far she was loved it. Everybody she was loving this manager job more and more.
Benji couldn't be more proud of her and how she was holding it down for Autumn. She was a real one for sure.
"But, I did drink a bit of champagne earlier tonight while I was out for dinner with Alonzo and Zaire. I can't stand them, they make it so hard for me." She playfully rolled her eyes causing Benji to chuckle
"It's fine, you know we was just testing the waters when it came to no drinking." Benji said
Angel nodded "Yeah I know."
"But I got something important I gotta tell you."
"Am I going to need a glass of wine afterwards?" Angel joked making Benji suck her teeth
"You got jokes, huh? I'm serious though, mama."
Angel raised an eyebrow at her lying on her side to face and look up at Benji.
She read Benji face and immediately knew something wrong, "What's wrong? Please don't tell me you're having second thoughts about us-
Benji shook her head, immediately shutting her theory down "No. I'm not having second thoughts about nothing. I'm here for us being together, don't never question if I'm going to leave because I'm not."
"I'm not either." Angel said grabbing Benji's hand
Benji rubbed her thumb over hers
