Chapter 10

 Today I had to go to the lawyers office to hear Ma'am's will and everything, get some money and stuff that was assigned to me.

So we drove to the place. I have never been to anything fancy like how this place was. We met up with Ma'ams lawyer. "Hello, Miss Mabel, very sorry for your loss."

"Thanks," I said. "I appreciate it"

"No problem," The man said. I knew Beatrice very well, and I know she was a good woman. I don't know what will possess her to-"

"May we get on with it?" Interrupted Miss Toledo.

"Of course, sorry. My name is Marshall Hope, and I am Beatrice's lawyer. I will be explaining what everyone will be receiving today. "Are we ready to proceed ladies?

We nodded our heads.

"Alright, well Beatrice has a lot to give out." He paused and gave out a smile. "Especially you, young lady. She really loved you." Not only did his smile make me smile, I like when people notice how much ma'am cares about me. He handed Miss Toledo a letter written on thick paper. I couldn't see the letter I just seen where it said,

"TO THE TOLEDOS"

He handed Miss Toledo another paper saying, "TO LONNIE"

I was shocked. It was my dad. Why would she write my dad a letter? they never even spoke to each other since I was a baby!

As I was waiting for the lawyer to read my paper, I started to get impatient and angry. I even started to wonder if Ma'am even wrote me something.

A few minutes later, he finally took out a paper that just said "TO HOLLOW"

"Would you like me to read it out loud?" He asked.

"Sure." I said. I may have sounded calm but I really wasn't. My emotions were all over the place. I didn't know what I felt the most..excitement, fear or anger.

He cleared his throat. He began reading,

"My sweet Hollow,

This may be short and brief because I had already written you something, and I hope that you keep it with you and continue to keep it.

I had a bond with you that I never had with anyone else, I never connected to anyone in a way that I had connected with you. You were my only light in my life, my shining star, my top priority. You made me happier than I have ever been in a long time, you make me feel more of a hero than I really am, and you deserve the world. Even though you already know this, I just want you to be sure that you know that even in death, you were the only thing I was thinking about. Nothing in my life compares to our relationship. And because of that, I would like to give you everything. There are many things that I was not able to give you or share to you in my lifetime. And I apologize for that. Maybe I can change that though...

I would advise you to sell the car, house and furniture, get money out of it all. It will be useful in the future, they are all good quality items so don't worry about the amount of money. Spend wisely.
