An hour passed, and there was now a blood stain on the floor, but I tried to clean it up the best I could.
I shut the curtains to hide the crack on the window.
I was just laying there now, on the bed. Now thinking about where Miss Toledo was. Part of me wanted to look for her, But the other part of me was very angry at her.
I didn't want to admit it to myself, but now when I'm telling you this, I knew that I wanted to look for her more.
Just as I was about to worry, the door opened.
It was Miss Toledo.
I was so happy that she was back in here with me, but I remembered that I was supposed to be mad, so I turned the other way.
Forgetting about what she said and giving her a hug like I wanted to, would just make me look even more like an idiot than I thought.
I felt her sit on the bed.
I waited for her to say something as I stared at the wall.
She then let out a sigh and said, "I'm sorry Hollow."
Yes! I thought. Now I don't have to be fake mad.
But some other instinct wanted me to stay there, pretending to still be mad.
"I just don't know what to do." She started to sniffle. "My son is missing in this city, and I have no idea where he is, and, I can't even do anything about it!" She said.
"It's okay." I said back. "I know you were just angry."
I didn't care about that instinct anymore, we had bigger problems than pretending to be fake mad.
As we stayed silent for a couple minutes, the phone rang. Miss Toledo ran to it, and immediately put it on speaker phone.
"Is this Mary Toledo?" A woman said.
"This is she." Said Miss Toledo.
" I think we have your son."
