Though there were a lot of bad things that happened this summer, it doesn't mean that there was nothing good that happened,
This summer I actually ended up going to Timmy's basketball practices, and I actually really enjoyed the game. One day we went to a basketball court in the park, and Timmy taught me how to play, and I.. Well, let's just say that I am a pretty fast learner.
I met that Suzanne girl, Timmy told me about, and I could see how tense Timmy was around her, I actually didn't only enjoy being around her because she was a nice kid, I liked her because she can actually make Timmy shut up.
I read about 7 long books, I had all the time in the world so why not?
Miss Toledo took me and Timmy to a pool. An actual REAL public pool. I'm probably exaggerating to you, but really, I have never even been to a public pool before. The only pool I went to was one of those cheap ones you blow up in your backyard. Why haven't I been to one before? Three words, Don't. Ask. Me."
Realize something? I'm going out in public more now! Atleast Miss Toledo understands how unfair it is for me to stay in the house.
Today, Miss Toledo was planning on taking us to a trampoline park, which I was really excited about. Yes, I know what it is, but I've only seen them in movies. I always wanted to go to one.
Timmy bursted out of his room. "Hey Hollow! Ready to go jumping today?"
"You bet!" I said, "Will there be.. people there? Like teens in particular ?
"Uh.. duh. He said, Teenagers love trampoline parks like how I love animals.
"Cool. Seems like you've been to one before." I said.
"Yeah a bunch of times!"
"How come you never invited me?"
"You weren't ever able to come-"
"Come on kids. Miss Toledo said as she came out of her room with a snack bag."
"I heard there were snacks there?" I said, confused.
"Oh, this? No, I brought this for the car ride." Miss Toledo chuckled.
"How long is that?"
" Let's see..3 hours! Miss Toledo said with a smile and a little surprised, as she put back her GPS.
"What!?"
"This is great! It used to be a 4 hour drive!"
"Ok, well let's head on out, you know how I hate driving in the dark." Miss Toledo said opening the door.
The drive was pretty okay, half the time Timmy was talking and the other half of the time Miss Toledo turned the radio up all the way so we couldn't hear his mouth.
I think I gained about 2 pounds from those snacks, I ate so much chips that I think I can literally explode!
"We're here guys!" Miss Toledo said turning down the radio.
"Yay!" Timmy and I exclaimed.
As soon as the car stopped Timmy and I ran out of the car and bursted into the trampoline park.
Inside was dark and it had colorful lights all over the place, shining all over the jumpers. I saw deep ball pits and foam bits, obstacle courses, many trampolines, and the best part... People!
We waited for Miss Toledo to come in, and we joined the line.
One thing I realized is how bizarre it is for everyone to act like this is a normal thing. All the kids younger and older than me in the line were calm (Even Timmy) All I wanted to do was dance to the music and jump and say how excited I was to get those jumping socks. But I tried my best to stand still and act like those kids.
