Chapter 1: Kakarot Saga

"Hey Bardock"

Bardock opened his eyes as he looked up seeing his squad standing over him. He yawned as he admittedly wanted to nap for a little while longer.

Bardock: "What?"

Fasha: "Your brat just got back from the Argall Campaign"

Bardock sat up intrigued with the news as he put his scouter back on.

Bardock: "And?"

Fasha: "He's a little banged up, but nothing he can't recover from"

Bardock sighed as he went back to his rather nonchalant demeanor.

Bardock: "I told that brat to stay with the lower ranked warriors, he was doing fine assisting them"

Tora lent a hand to Bardock as he helped him up to his feet. Bardock calibrated his scouter as he again sighed.

Bardock: "That idiot is gonna get himself killed"

Bardock walked past his squad as they had all seen this same song and dance before.

Bardock: "I'll go check on the brat"

Tora: "Don't go too hard on him this time Bardock"

Bardock rolled his eyes as he went to go see his son.

In the East Corridor a familiar man floated in a healing pod. His injuries had faded although he still had some scars to remind him of his recent mistakes as his armor was damaged and there was a large scar on his shoulder.

The pod made a loud beep signaling it had finished as the door opened, the fluid pouring onto the ground.

Bardock: "Kakarot"

(Yes it will be weird referring to Goku as Kakarot the whole time)

Kakarot opened his eyes as his first sight was seeing his father approach him. Neither showed any real emotion towards one another, already knowing the argument that was going to come next.

Bardock: "So, I'm guessing the mission on Planet Argal didn't go so well"

Kakarot ignored his father as he hopped out the healing pod. He put on his scouter as he tried to walk past his father. However he was stopped as Bardock placed his hand on his son's shoulder.

Bardock: "Kakarot"

Bardock's stern expression remained. Kakarot didn't show much of anything as he avoided eye contact with his father.

Bardock: "Your in over your head Kakarot"

Kakarot: "Like I haven't heard that before"

Bardock: "Lets face the facts Kakarot. Raditz is working with the prince himself, Turles leads his own squad, and hell your little sister is showing more potential than you ever have!!"

Bardock stopped for a second as he and Kakarot stood still.

Bardock: "But you. With your pathetic power level the best you'll do out there is die"

Kakarot slapped his fathers hand off his shoulder as he walked past him. No more words were said. None were needed as Kakarot's anger was on full display.

Kakarot: "Then I'll die a honorable death. As a warrior"

Bardock scoffed at his sons words.

Bardock: "Throwing your life away doesn't make you a "warrior" Kakarot"

Kakarot didn't respond to his fathers jab as he left the room.

Bardock sighed as he went about his usual routine meeting back up with his squad. Kakarot as well continued about his business walking through the East Station.
