Chapter 13

"MASENKO!!!"

The mountain exploded as Piccolo stood tired. It had been another grueling training session as he was exhausted. But he knew he needed to push through. 

Piccolo: "Will it be enough?"

Piccolo knew just how strong Kakarot was and while he had estimated he may have reached that power by now, he couldn't be certain. This feeling tugged at his consious.

Piccolo: "And what if he got stronger"

This frustrated Piccolo as he shot a blast of ki at the ground. It had been two months and he still wasn't as confident as he felt he should be. He then looked up to the sky remembering those "fools" who were up training with this "King Kai." A part of him regretted not accepting that "special training" Kami had offered. Maybe then he wouldn't have the same feeling.

Piccolo: "Those idiots better not be slacking"

Piccolo put his cape and turban back on as he began to trek down the mountainous landscape. It had become his home. And he quite liked it. Piccolo enjoyed the beautiful landscape and the exquisite nature of his surroundings. It was partially the reason he had changed his mind on taking over the Earth.

The planet was beautiful, and while its inhabitant could be quite annoying they weren't all that bad. At times he pondered on venturing out, trying to mingle in with the populace. But he choose against it.

He preferred to be alone anyway. He wasn't much of a talker and enjoyed the serene silence only filled by the sounds nature alone provided. Which is why he grew weary when he heard an odd sound not too far off. It sounded like someone was yelling a name.

Piccolo walked towards the sound getting closer as he finally found the source.

Piccolo: "What's a human doing all the way out here?"

Piccolo flew down as on the ground stood a little girl. He landed right next to her as upon seeing him the girl stared in amazement taking a moment to look at the giant green man in front of her.

She looked bewildered and curious as Piccolo stood pretty awkwardly not really knowing what to do.

Videl: "Hi! I'm Videl!!"

Piccolo: "I never asked"

Videl: "Hey!! That's mean!!"

Piccolo: "I am mean"

Videl pouted before taking a step closer towards Piccolo. She tugged at his pants as she playfully circled around him as Piccolo just stood rather confused as to what the little girl was doing.

Videl: "You dress funny"

Piccolo: "Wha-"

Videl: "Are you an alien!?"

Piccolo: "I-"

Videl: "If you are do you have a spaceship!?! Can I fly it!!?!?"

Videl continued to bombard Piccolo with questions as the green man was growing more and more weary by the second.

Piccolo: "Look little girl no more questions"

Videl: "Awwww, but I have so many!!!"

Piccolo: "I know, that's the problem"

Piccolo then realized how odd it was that the girl had just been alone.

Piccolo: "Hey kid"

Videl: "Huh?"

Piccolo: "Where's your parents?"

Videl: "I was hiking with my dad, but I got lost"

Piccolo: "Well is your mother around?"
