It was a bright beautiful day with a calming breeze blowing in Station Square. Walking towards the calendar stuck to the wall of the apartment, a white haired hedgehog crossed off the date June 27, 22XX. Setting down the marker the hedgehog strolled towards the small kitchen in his apartment to start his day.

With a bowl of cereal in hand and a Miles Electric MKIII in the other, the hedgehog scrolled through the news as he ate. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, there was no bouts of small time crime and anything over seas was swiftly handled by G.U.N.. Continuing scrolling he saw an advertisement about an upcoming festival at Eggman Land, set to be the biggest one yet! "Sounds like a blast, I wonder if Shadow would be willing to go."

As the hedgehog continued to scroll through media he had finished is breakfast, glancing at the top right of the device he noticed the time being 7:15am. "Well, guess it's time to get to work." Setting the Miles Electric and his empty bowl down, the hedgehog grabbed a coat from the coat rack and headed into the city.

For any normal person, walking from the hedgehog's apartment to his work would take well over two hours on foot. However this hedgehog had a special ability that allows him to cut that time down to ten minutes via flight. Exiting the building, the hedgehog was engulfed in a cyan aura as he flew straight up to rocket off in the sky.

Soaring through the sky, a large building off in the distance began to close in. There was a large fence around the area with people along the gate's entrance.

Landing on the ground before the gate, the hedgehog slid on his uniform jacket and approached the guard standing by the entrance.

"Agent Oracle." The guard greeted as he pressed a few things on a near by control panel which opened the gates to the base.

The hedgehog walked by with a wave and a smile, "C'mon, I'm not on the field. You can call me Silver."

As Silver traversed throughout the headquarters, he arrived in front of two big doors with a plaque on the wall that read, "Commander Shadow". Opening the door, Silver meander his way inside and stood at the desk awaiting Shadow's acknowledgment.

Glancing up from a handful of papers, a small smile appeared on his face, "Well if it isn't my protégé. As much as I'd like to stay and chat, I have a big mission for you. You are to take Omega on a reconnaissance mission at an old factory, our sources says that there is an odd and excessive amount of radiation leaking from there. Find the source and report back so we can have R&D send a hazmat unit to clean up."

Silver nodded with a salute as he took a manila folder Shadow was holding out. Exiting the office Silver flew around the base towards the training facility looking for Omega. Rocketing down the halls of G.U.N HQ, all that anyone ever saw was a cyan light beam by and quickly fade away.

True to Silver's gut feeling, Omega was in fact in the training facility participating in target practice with some new recruits.

The large robot was screaming and yelling with fury as the recruits were emptying magazines down range. "NO NO NO! Three round burst! STOP MAG DUMPING! YOU'RE NOT EVEN HITTING ANYTHING!" In a fit of frustration Omega transformed one of his hands into a gatling gun and began to open fire down range. Once the smoke cleared all the noobies were in awe to see how precise Omega's accuracy was. The dummy down range had a gaping hole in it's chest, compared to other dummies which had small holes riddle all throughout the body.

"How's the training going Omega!?" Silver called out as he approached the seething robot. The new recruits all around seeming to relax a bit when Silver approached.

Omega's head spun a full 360 degrees to face Silver, "TERRIBLE! These meat bags can't aim for shit! However with my guidance and some tough love, they'll be able to shoot an antenna off the head of an ant." Returning his gatling guns to his hands, Omega approached Silver, "I take it you're not here for a social visit."
