Chapter 41

After a long walk through the woods Rhydian and his pack finally find the safe house. He says, "not much in the way of supplies and possessions but this will keep us safe for the time being." Hannah says, "we will be ok, we are just lucky to all be here together... thanks to Maddie." Maddie looks around thinking, 'there must be something I can do around here.' She decides to help the wounded thinking, 'I can't fix their spirits, but I can mend their bodies.' Maddie heads inside and finds the injured to aid and offer help. Sarah says, "thank Maddie, I owe you one." Rhydian comes over saying, "I am going to scout out the area, I shouldn't be gone for long, Maddie." Maddie says, "I will come with you, I can help you look around." Rhydian turns back to her saying, "no, stay here." Maddie says, "Rhydian-." Rhydian's eyes glow gold angrily saying, "stay!." He leaves as Maddie thinks, 'no way I am leaving things like this.' Maddie storms off after him as he soon comes to a field with wildflowers. Rhydian looks at the moon above saying, "I thought I told you to stay, Maddie." Maddie says, "Rhydian I am not leaving you, just like you didn't leave me." Rhydian asks, "you have no idea what I just went through, do you?." He turns angrily saying, "I almost lost you, damn it! Why are you always rushing headfirst into danger? Why did you take off after Daniel like that?." 

Maddie replies, "because someone had to take him down, someone had to-." Rhydian angrily says, "that someone didn't have to be you!." Maddie says, "listen, I know you have some instinct to protect me but-." Rhydian says, "this isn't instinct! It's-." Maddie asks, "it's what?." He locks his gaze on her, his eyes burning with a light from within; Rhydian says, "it's more than that, Mads." He comes closer and pulls her closer into a deep passionate kiss. Maddie asks, "what do you mean it's more than instinct, Rhydian?." Rhydian's hand slips down as Maddie feels the desire and need in him; he says, "come closer, Maddie I will show you exactly what I mean." Maddie kisses Rhydian as she says, "Rhydian...." Rhydian says, "I can't lose you again, not ever again." Maddie says, "I don't want to lose you either." Rhydian says surprised, "you don't?." Maddie looks at Rhydian who has tears in his eyes saying, "when I am around you Mads, it's like I can barely control myself... like every part of me needs you." Maddie feels Rhydian's word touch as he holds her saying, "Maddie-." He gently lays her on the grass saying, "you're addicting like a drug to me."  Maddie says, "Rhydian, I feel the same." Rhydian smiles saying, "I know you do; I can feel that much." Rhydian kisses Maddie passionately as she wraps her arms around him; she thinks, 'god, I want you.' Their kiss deepens as Maddie stops for a moment leaving Rhydian a little confused; she says, "Rhydian, we need to stop." Rhydian gets up asking, "do you want to, Maddie?." Maddie replies, "it's not that I want to... it's just that... if we don't slow down we might...." Maddie gets lost in her words staring into Rhydian's eyes saying, "never mind." Rhydian smirks saying, "I am not done with you, mate." Maddie giggles saying, "prove it, Alpha." Rhydian replies, "with pleasure, I will do everything in my power to make you happy, Maddie... everything." Maddie caresses Rhydian's cheek as he removes his clothes as Maddie blushes as she is about to say something however Rhydian says, "I've finally got you in my arms and I plan to take my time with you." He gently removes her dress and bra saying, "I am going to take you slow." 

He kisses her lips as he slowly moves to her neck licking it and kissing her breasts as Maddie moans with pleasure thinking, 'my god, he's incredible.' Maddie looks at Rhydian who gently removes her knicker saying, "Maddie, I have dreamed about how you feel, wrapped around me." He kisses her again passionately as Maddie says, "Rhydian I am yours." She wraps her legs around him as he thrust himself into her as she moans his name in pleasure. Maddie and Rhydian feel their mate bond flame to life exploding through their bodies with passion and power. Rhydian soon stops feeling his golden eyes on her saying, "my god Maddie, you were-." Maddie smiles saying, "I feel immensely powerful, Rhydian." Rhydian says, "me too Maddie, I feel it too." Rhydian lays on the grass as Maddie places her head on his chest looking above at the moon. Maddie says, "Rhydian that was phenomenal." Rhydian says, "you're right, Maddie." Maddie thinks, 'now that me and Rhydian are stronger and united, we will be safer and be able to protect our pack.' Maddie thinks of her father for a moment before asking, "Rhydian, how did you escape?." Rhydian replies confused, "escape? What do you mean, Maddie?." Maddie says, "when we were kids, you told me Daniel banished you after you aided me to escape but he doesn't seem like the type to let you run free."
