Chapter 28

Maddie felt her body in pain saying, "w-what? How is this possi- ah!" She looks at Rhydian saying, "Rhydian... I need your help, it is hurting me, I 'm burning!" Rhydian says, "just focus, Maddie. The pain will go away soon." Zion angrily says, "you bitch...." Maddie clenches her fist, closing her eyes saying, "AHHHH!" She falls forward but does not hit the ground with her hand and knees inside she stares at the ground at her white fur, soft and pure as snow. Maddie thinks, 'I'm...I'm.' Zion was stunned to see Maddie in her Wolfblood form saying, "impossible.... This should not be happening." Rhydian was also stunned saying, "Maddie...." Maddie thinks, 'I need to help Rhydian.' She stalks forward as a low, yet powerful growl erupts from her chest as Zion says, "how?" Maddie growls and snarls at Zion whose eyes change to red saying, "you little... fine, two can play this game, my little mate." Zion changes into his Wolfblood which is a brown and grey wolf as he growls menacingly. Alicia comes in front of Maddie saying, "Hey! stay away from my friend!" Zion growls saying, "grrrrrh!" Rhydian says, "Maddie, move!" Rhydian's words shake Maddie as she tries to push Alicia before Zion can attack her however Zion claws her paw and kicks her hard losing her footing and slides across the gym floor. Maddie looks hurt seeing Alicia laying on the floor as she thinks, 'Alicia, no! everything's so different, I don't know what to do, I don't-.' Rhydian says, "Maddie... listen to me.' Maddie feels the bond with Rhydian within her as Rhydian says, "you have to listen to me Maddie, listen to me and trust your instincts, they will guide you." Maddie thinks, 'I can do this, I can fight him.' She straightens up and snarls angrily to get Zion's attention. 

Just as Zion's head is turned, Rhydian tells Alicia to run, pushing her to the back room. Maddie then rushes to Zion pushing him back and butting her head into his ribs to throw him off. Maddie thinks, 'this is easier than breathing.' Damon says, "RRRHHHAH!" With a growl Maddie leap forward and sinks her teeth deep into Zion's upper shoulder and then with a snap she throws him to the side. Maddie thinks, 'I did it, I....' As the fresh blood coats her tongue, her vision bleeds red at the edges; suddenly, rage fills her as an uncontrollable violence shudder through her body. Maddie thinks, 'I want to chase Zion, I want to hunt him down and tear him apart.' The rage roars inside of her with the need to hunt, the need to kill. She thinks, 'I want to sink my teeth into his flesh, and-.' Rhydian says, "calm down, the blood is setting you off." With a jolt, she realizes she can hear Rhydian's voice however the need for hunt grips within her strength. Maddie says, "let me! I am going to kill Zion." Rhydian says, "I want to track him down as badly as you do, but this isn't the right time." Maddie says, "I will decide that! Let me go!" Rhydian says, "no I won't." Rhydian transforms into his Wolfblood and comes on top of Maddie saying, "calm down, Maddie let go of this anger." In this form, his voice moves like hot honey through her veins, as their bond roars to life. Rhydian says, "submit, now." Maddie begins to feel calmer as Rhydian notices this saying, "that's its Maddie, find yourself for me." 

She allows her body to soften beneath Rhydian's as he says, "good girl, Maddie." Maddie closes her eyes and curls against Rhydian as he slowly lets her go thinking, 'it....it feels good to please him.' Rhydian says, "there you go, take a deep breath, the rage is leaving you." Maddie listens to Rhydian as she slowly transforms back to her human form with Rhydian doing the same as he asks, "Maddie? Are you ok?" Maddie replies, "what... w-what happened?" Rhydian says, "that's a loaded question." Maddie says, "yeah, well I...." She trails off as she realizes her position as she says, "Rhydian, don't look!" Rhydian says, "it's fine, I am not looking, and even if I was...." Maddie says, "just don't!" He laughs as Maddie pushes him off and hides behind the punchbag; Rhydian gets up and changes as Maddie asks, "hey, why are your clothes still intact?" Rhydian answers, "practice, I can take them off pretty fast before transforming." Maddie says, "well that would have been useful to learn." Rhydian says, "hey, I would have taught you too, we thought you were an omega, remember?" Maddie says, "right, until now I thought I was a powerful Wolfblood." Rhydian asks, "so much for your clothes, do you have an extra around here?" Maddie nods answering, "I might, I usually keep a spare change of clothes in my locker." Rhydian says, "interesting."
