The training ceremonies were scheduled for after lunch. Ren went to visit Kitchi to see how he was doing. When he entered, Aioshi and him were arguing. Ren sent Aioshi out and sat down next to Kitchi. "Kitchi, what the hell were thinking? If you have an issue, you come to me." "I am sorry, but only death can break a betrothal." "Did you really think I would have permitted it? To even be on my double elite floor, you have to have special qualifications and trust me, Ton would have never met them." "Why?" "Straight up, he is a bully and bullies can't be trusted. If I can't trust you, you don't come on my floor. That simple. Plus, seeing how both of you are adults, you would have had to have signed the betrothal agreement as well and I know you wouldn't have signed it." "I didn't know I had to sign it too." "I figured. Your Pa is a piece of work. Can you explain to me why he hates you but dotes on Aoe?" "We are from different mothers. Aoe is from the woman Pa loved and I am from the woman Pa was forced to marry." "I understand now. Well, you don't have to worry about your betrothal. Taki helped you out with that one and as your punishment from me, you will just go along with it" "What did Taki do? All Aioshi told me was that he was the one that sewed me up and got my bleeding to stop." "Aioshi presented you with a document a couple weeks ago, you signed it the day before yesterday. Think about that and you will know what Taki did. Also, remember that Aioshi loves you and he might be a ruthless attorney, but he is the member of my double elites that can't be beaten in a fight." "I know. No one else knows that Aioshi is number 1 and Yoshi is number 2, but I do know that." "Then why did you let your father push you to this point? Aioshi would not tell you what to do, he just wants to protect you. I mean even I can see how much you love him. Are you trying to be in a situation like Kim and I?" "No. I do love him, but I see myself as unworthy to him." "That is for Aioshi and you to figure out and you have a lifetime now that you are tied to him. Oh, and your father is disputing it with the council. You might want to figure out what to tell them when they ask if you signed it."

Ren leaves after talking to Kitchi. He runs into Aioshi out in the hall. "You do anything to him that makes him even think of trying that again, and I will take your life." "I got it boss; you don't have to worry about that. He means the world to me." "Good, now go and help settle him down. See you at the ceremonies later. Oh, and bring Kitchi. Until the council reviews his case, I don't want him alone." Ren continued to walk down the hall and ran into Yoshi and Akiro. They were reading something, so I just looked at them and they handed it over. Shock completely went through me when I saw that they were reading the standings. I guess I will have to adjust my double elites now. I knew Kim could do it, but I had no idea he was going to take over the top spot. Yep, Kim is number 1, Aioshi 2, Yoshi 3, Akiro, 4, and Aoe is now 5. Today's ceremony is going to be interesting. I just wonder if I can trust Aoe on my double elite floor. Akiro reading my mind tells me he can be trusted as he was the one that said they needed be at the banquet last night because he felt his father was up to something. "Is everything ready for the ceremonies?" "Yes Boss." "Good I am going to see Kim then."

Ren walked away and went to see Kim. When he entered, he noticed Kim was just sitting on the bed. He sat down and scootched to behind him. Ren reached his arms around hugged Kim from behind. "Want to tell me what is on your mind?" "How is you always seem to know when I am upset?" "I do have monitors in the room remember." "Yes, but they can't tell you that I am upset, they can just tell you where I am at and what I am saying." "I guess I am attuned to you then. I just looked at the results of the training. You did really well. I will let you talk to Chay tomorrow." "Where did I finish if you don't mind me asking." "You finished number 1 in my double elite squad. I think you surprised them." "I wasn't even training for the double elites, was I?" "Yes and no. I had you with the elite warriors because only by going through them can you become a double elite. The training was harder because I wanted to see what you could really do. I had heard stories and wanted to know if they were true or not." "You know you confuse me." "I am sorry, sometimes I confuse myself." Ren started to run his hands through Kim's hair. He loved how it felt and he knew it soothed Kim. Kim on the other hand couldn't figure out why Ren playing with his hair made him think of Chay all the time. Kim was actually starting to realize that there was more to Ren. He seemed like he was this tough guy on the outside, but on the inside, he sensed there was an angel's heart. Kim knew that Ren almost cried last night, and he had a feeling it was because of something one of his subordinates told him. He doesn't know why, but he wanted to find out what caused it and eradicate it from the world so he wouldn't cry anymore. "So, besides letting me talk to Chay, what does that standing give me?" "Well after your pet training, you can move from this room and floor up my floor, and you will become my right hand." "Pet Training?" "Yes, you remember the room you were in before your warrior training started? You will move to that room tomorrow night and will stay there for a month." Kim shuddered at the thought. That room scared him, that was a room his cousin Vegas would love for his lover Pete. Ren could sense that something was off with Kim, so he kissed his neck and whispered in his ear. "It will be alright. I will be your trainer. After all no one but me is permitted to touch you in that way." That is what worried Kim. What kind of touches would be going on in that room. Ren already took him, though he hasn't since, but Kim isn't stupid, he knows starting tomorrow night, he will be taken over and over again.
