It was the night before Kim was to return to Thailand. Akio and Kwan were celebrating. They didn't know Chen had done it, but they didn't care. The contract between Ren and Kim was dissolved. They knew that they two didn't get along, but when there is love between two people, it would only be a matter of time and they would be a force to be reckoned with. Kwan and Akio decided to wait until after Kim had left to make their move on Ren. They met with their friends and mapped out a plan to be in charge of the Yakuza by the end of the next month. Of course, unknown to them, that would be too late as Ren was going to strike the day after Kim went back home and his place was foolproof. Kim was in the lounge shooting darts with the guys when Ren walked up to him. "Kim" Kim knew he wanted alone time with him, but wouldn't say it, so he told the guys later and walked down the hall to his room, Ren following behind him. Yoshi looked around the room and asked no one in particular. "Is Ren really going to send him back?" Aioshi replied, "He doesn't have a choice, or he will be in trouble with the council. Plus, you know why he is doing it." Aoe chimed in "Well let's hope we can take care of business and those two will reunite." Kitchi was the next to speak. "No, they won't get back together. Ren is putting Kim behind him." Everyone just looked at Kitchi before Yoshi spoke. "Kitchi what do you know that we don't know" Kitchi just shook his head. "It doesn't take a genius to know that Ren is no longer the boy that showed up here and what he has done to Kim, he can't forgive himself. It is already bothering him." Akiro looked at Kitchi "I am aware, but Ren is still going to be devastated that he is gone." As Ren's team were discussing what is going to happen to Ren after Kim leaves, Ren and Kim were in Kim's room.

"Ren, are you alright?" "Yeah, I just wanted to spend the night with you." "You are always welcome in my room." "It is your last night, are you happy to be going back?" "I do miss my brothers, but you know that was never my home." Ren went up and put his arm around Kim. Kim sensed Ren was distraught and put his arms around Ren and patted his back like he was telling him everything would be alright. Silently he was arguing with himself. Part of him wanted to beg Ren to let him stay, while the other part wanted to be gone from here and never look back. So, he kept quiet and just held Ren. Morning came too quickly. Ren woke up first. He leaned down and kissed Kim on the forehead and went to his office. He called Aioshi and told him to make sure that Kim had breakfast. Chen showed up about an hour later and was brought to Ren's office. "Ren, you really letting him go?" "What choice do I have?" "You could ask him to stay and if he agrees, he would be here of his own volition." "It is best if he leaves." "Are you going to tell him goodbye?" "No, you can do that for me and hand him this note after you guys take off." "Alright." Chen left and Ren closed, locked, and shut the lights out in his office. The teams all told Kim by. Kim kept looking around hoping that Ren would tell him goodbye, but he realized that wasn't happening, so he left with Chen to the airport where there was a private jet waiting to take him home. Wik's jet had long since left the airport. Kinn and Porsche flew in to get it after he signed the contract. He was actually looking forward to seeing his brothers. His Pa not so much as he had a feeling his Pa sent Chay to Japan. He couldn't prove it, but he was going home to find out and also see how Vegas was doing in unravelling the death of Chay's parents. After take-off, Chen walked to the back of the plane where Kim was sitting alone. "How are you holding up?" "I am fine. I am sure it will take some time to get adjusted again." "I am sure your family will help." "Chen, how did he get out of the contract?" "He didn't tell you?" "No." Chen just shook his head, pulled out an envelope, handed it to Kim, and went back to the front of the plane to give him privacy. Kim opened the envelope and read the letter.

Kim:

Thank you for sending that song to me years ago. After you broke up with me, I got severely depressed and was not in the right frame of mind. When you sent that song, I felt hope that we could at least be friends, but I needed some time away to understand how everyone could lie to me. I went to your Pa for help as I didn't know who else to go to. He told me he had friends in Japan, and he would help keep my whereabouts a secret. I had only planned on being away for a few months, but you went on tour as Wik and seemed like you were enjoying yourself and talking to my brother, he was fine too, so I just stayed away. I am sorry for what you have just gone through, and I hope you can forgive me. Take care.
