Top was at the hospital getting ready to start interviewing for his temporary replacement. He was surprised when the board told him to hire 3 of the 5 candidates. Top was shocked and then he was told that the hospital was wanting to hire more doctors for the emergency room anyway and this way, the doctors wouldn't have to pull such long shifts. Top also knew that Kinn was the President of the board, so he figured that Khun said something to him. The first doctor to enter to be interviewed was definitely not being chosen because he rubbed Top the wrong way and his mannerisms were not that of a doctor that wanted to help patients. It was more of a doctor who just cared about making money and that was not someone he wanted on his team. He was polite and told the Dr thanks for interviewing and he would be left know the decision in a few days. After he left, Top hoped the rest of the doctors weren't like the one that just left. His secretary came in and told him the next doctor was here. She brought him in and Top and him introduced themselves. Top liked this doctor. Even though he had only been out of medical school for 2 years, he had great mannerisms and good work ethic. He only left the hospital he was at because he moved back home. Top thanked him and told him he would be notified soon. After he left, Top put a star on his resume. The other two doctors Top interviewed got stars as well. Top liked them both and it was going to be hard to choose which of the three weren't being hired because his last interviewee was definitely getting hired. Top was just waiting for his arrival.

Kitchi had flown in and got settled in a hotel the day before his interview. He was nervous because he had never been out of Japan before and he missed Aioshi. Kitchi took a taxi to the hospital and checked in with the secretary. She ushered him into an office where he could hear someone on the phone speaking. "Khun, I have one more interview and then I can come back." "Yes, I know your Pa is going crazy, but you are fine." "Baby, I have to go, my last interviewee is here." "Love you too" Kitchi felt he overheard something he shouldn't have but acted like he didn't hear anything. When the doctor turned around, he was shocked to see Top, his blood brother. Top ran up to him and gave him a big hug. Kitchi was still shocked. He didn't expect this and finally he got his bearing and asked Top how he was doing. Top and Kitchi caught up with each other as it has been a while since Top had seen Kitchi. Actually, since Top was raised by his mom, he only saw Kitchi in the summers. Top looked at the Kitchi, held up his hand to show a scar the length of his palm. "Kitchi do you remember how I got this?" "Yes, Taki wanted to kill us both. We were lucky we didn't bleed to death." "Well, who knew that knife was that sharp." "We should have known considering Taki was a top member of the Yakuza." Top and Kitchi laughed as they reminisced about the time they became blood brothers. They used a knife they found and cut their palms and mixed their blood by holding their palms together. Only they cut too deep and couldn't get the blood to stop and when Taki found them, they were trying to be calm. Taki ended up stitching up both palms and they each had a scar. Top noticed the scars on Kitchi's wrists. Top pointed to the scars, "Kitchi, don't do this again." "I am sorry Top. I was in a bad place." "Next time call me. I was quite upset when Pa told me what you had done. You were lucky he got to you in time." "I know, I won't do it again. Aioshi would bring me back to life just to shoot me." "How are things with Aioshi?" "They are good. I still have concerns about his relationship with Ren." "Kitchi, trust me, Ren loves someone else and him and Aioshi are like us. Brothers without the blood." "I am scared Top; you know how I was raised. I won't survive if Aioshi leaves me." "So why are you here interviewing for my temporary replacement." "Oh, I forgot." Kitchi pulls out a box and hands it to Top. "Taki wanted me to give this to the person who interviewed me. He said that person would know what it was and what to do with it." Top took the box and wanted to shoot his Pa for being cryptic, but he also knew that the Mafia councils were watching Ren and his team closely so if this was important, sending it with Kitchi was the only way to get it out of Japan unnoticed. "Thank you, Kitchi. I take it you want an email in a few days stating that you didn't get the position." "Yep, I am leaving tomorrow morning to return back to Japan. I miss Aioshi too much." "I understand. I don't think I could be away from Khun for long either." "When this is all over, we should meet up and introduce our other halves to each other. Even though you already sort of know mine." "Kitchi I would love that. I would also like to take you to dinner, but I am afraid that wouldn't be a good idea." "I know. It was good seeing you. Stay safe." Top hugged Kitchi and watched as Kitchi left the hospital. Afterwards, Top hid the box in his medical bag. To make things look good, he sent his reviews to his secretary. She knew to use the other doctor's email to send the acceptance emails as well as those emails letting those who were not hired their emails. Top was happy that he didn't have to choose between the three starred resumes' as he wanted all three of them on his team. He looked at the clock and saw that it had been almost 2 hours since Kitchi left, so he felt they wouldn't be assumed to have been together and left himself. He wanted to know what was in the box his Pa sent.
