Ren is Chay

Kim's POV

I do not know how long I held Ren. He seemed lost and confused. Again, it reminded me of when I first met Chay. Oh, why do I keep thinking of Chay. Chay is my past and Ren, well he is my future. I hope Vegas takes my Pa down soon because I am in this mess thanks to him. I hear sniffles and realize that Ren is crying. I pull him close to me. "Shh, baby it is alright. I am here. You don't have to be all strong around me." I am not sure if he heard me or not, but he seemed to have grabbed my arms tighter like he doesn't want me to go anywhere. "When you find out, you are going to hate me." I am even more confused. "Aww baby, I could never hate you. You have become my world. Don't think about anything and just relax. I will watch over you and no one will hurt you." "You hurt me already and you will again soon." I wish he would quit talking in riddles. When did I ever hurt him. I hadn't even met him until I came to Japan, and he kidnapped me. He seems to be crying harder but trying not to. "Baby, what you think will happen in the future hasn't happened yet, so just relax and be safe in my arms." "Kim, just remember, no matter what, I will always love you." I leaned down and kissed him and whispered in his ear for him to go back to sleep. It isn't morning yet, so after I realized that Ren went back to sleep, I permitted myself to sleep as well, though not a deep sleep as Ren seemed troubled and I wanted to wake in case he needed me again. Who knew that in roughly 3 months, I would fall in love with him.

I heard someone in the room and noticed it was Yoshi. I motioned for him to be quiet. I didn't care if I was bossing Ren's subordinates or not, but Ren had a rough night, and I was going to let him sleep as long as he wanted. Yoshi just looked at me without saying anything before he left. I got up carefully without waking Ren, went to the bathroom, and cleaned up. I contemplated getting a bowl of water and wiping down Ren, but I thought that might wake him up, so I decided against it. I thought back to our conversation last night. What has Ren been through that would make him so insecure? Especially since he was the leader of the whole Yakuza. I glance back at my sleeping baby and decide no matter how much trouble I get into, I am going to find out what he has been through. Not surprisingly, Aioshi was the next to enter. I motion for him to go to the other side of the room and sit down. He seems to always show up when Ren needs help. Does he love Ren? Are they in a relationship? As a pet I don't have a say, but I hope not. I don't think I could survive if Ren had someone else. I sit down across from Aioshi. "Can you tell me why he is so insecure?" "He was betrayed by someone he loved. That person just used him." "That is awful, who would be stupid enough to throw him away." I didn't understand why Aioshi chuckled. "Can you tell me what kind of trouble he is in?" "I am not supposed to, but he is in charge, but his top subordinates are plotting against him. He has contacted the council for a special session to forgo your month-long training." "Can that happen?" "Yes, but you will have to show you are completely faithful to him. How they will figure that out, I do not know." "I will make sure to pass." "He also would like my situation taken care of as well." "Oh" "Don't worry about it, it will be taken care of and the people who think they will win, will find out they can't." It was then that I heard Ren waking up. I got up and noticed that Aioshi was sneaking out of the room, which I thought was weird, but I cared more about Ren than whatever his subordinate was up to. "I left you sleep; you can punish me if you want." "Thank you, I have been tired lately. Did they bring breakfast yet?" "I don't see any food." "Oh, I forgot, I told them not to come in unless I called. I am sorry. I made it so you missed breakfast. How about I clean up and then we go to the dining hall for lunch." After Ren said that I realized why Aioshi was sneaking out. He wasn't supposed to be in there.

When we got to the dining hall, there was a buffet set up with different types of foods. The guards were seated in their sections. Ren told me to go and get a plate of food and to sit down at the head table. I knew he was cementing my position as his right-hand man as everyone quit eating once we entered. As I was getting my food, I noticed Ren talking to Aioshi and he seemed to have smiled. I got jealous even though I had no right to. I could get him in trouble and tell Ren he was in our room, but then I would get punished for talking to him, stupid me. I fell right into Aioshi's trap. I noticed that Aioshi had two plates in his hand and when he sat down, he set a plate in front of the Kitchi. He looked a lot better than he did at the training celebration. I sat down but didn't start to eat yet. I was waiting for Ren, who showed up shortly after I sat down. "Let's eat honey, so the guys will finish their plates." We both started to eat and soon everyone was eating and talking. "Ren what is your relationship with Aioshi?" Ren just looks at me. "He is my subordinate, and he treats me like his younger brother. I go to him usually when things become overwhelming for me" "Oh, are you going to continue to go to him?" "Probably, why?" "Oh, I was hoping you would come to me." "You want to be my emotional shoulder?" "I am your pet, I thought I was everything." Ren just looks at me before replying. "We will see after the council meets. They will be here tomorrow, so if all goes well, you might have full run of the mansion and be wearing my collar tomorrow." I decide while I am finishing up eating, that no matter what, I will make sure I prove that I am completely loyal to him even if the council tells me to cut off parts of my body.
