Kim's POV

I didn't want it to show, but I was happy that Ren was back. I don't want to admit it, but I missed him too. I wish Ren would take his mask off, but I figured maybe something had happened and Ren's face was scarred so he covered it with a mask. It wouldn't matter to me though. Ren takes good care of me, and I can tell he is fair with his subordinates as well. I am at war within myself because my heart belongs to Chay, but so much of Ren reminds me of Chay that my heart is opening up for a second time. I know the next month is going to be rough. My Pa has a pet. It wasn't widely known, but Chan is in a contract with my Pa. I can't imagine what Chan has gone through because Pa sure wasn't nice to me. I can't imagine that Chan has had a carefree life either. Ren thought I was asleep, so when he started to whisper to me, I was able to hear everything he said. "Kim, if you only knew why. I wish I could tell you, but then both of us would be in danger. I just hope that when you find out, you won't hate me. I love you too much for you to hate me." I couldn't imagine what he was talking about, but there were tears in his eyes. Now, I was curious to figure out what in the world is going on. Who exactly is Ren, and why would I hate him if I found out the truth and he loves me. Since when is what I want to know. I don't remember ever meeting him. I try to calm my brain to get some sleep as I know tomorrow starts the worst training I could possibly have and the cage in the corner of that room gives me anxiety just looking at it. I have to never be put in it. I wouldn't survive. I have decided I would do whatever Ren asked me to, just so I am not put in that cage.

Meanwhile in Thailand...

Chan is hung from the ceiling by chains and has been stripped naked. Korn is enjoying using the whip on him. He is having Chan count as he decided Chan needed 50 strikes. Chan has no idea why his master is whipping him this time, but knows from past experience, just to count and be quiet. When Korn was done, he started talking. "Chan, why couldn't you be a good pet. All you had to do was find where Chay was staying and where he went. You couldn't even get a glimpse of him. All the manpower I put at your disposal, and you came up with nothing. Akio doesn't even know why he came to Thailand. It is a good thing we didn't tell Porsche he was in town, or we would have had even more issues. Oh, and you miscounted again. You have 5 more coming." Chan hissed out in pain and these 5 were harsh. Korn never leaves marks as he doesn't want anyone to know how brutal he really is. Chan has quit wondering how he got in this situation because he already knows, once he was stupid and confided something to his brother who then tricked him into signing a Mafia Contract with Korn. He lost everything. His birthright and the power that came with it. One of these days he would pay his brother back. He thought in the back of his head "Akio your day is coming." Korn never takes care of Chan after a beating; he just unties him and tells him to go his room and get some rest and not to be late for anything the next day. Chan's back is on fire, so he goes to his room and draws an herbal bath to soak in. He has learned from past experiences that is the best thing for his back.

Back in Japan....

Ren wakes up first and is entangled with Kim. Actually, sometime throughout the night he ended up lying on top of Kim and his head was laying on Kim's chest. He felt safe and loved. He just wished it would last, but he knew once Kim found out the truth, there would be nothing left between them except the contract. Ren untangles himself and goes up to his office. He tells Kitchi to take Kim his breakfast. Aioshi is not a fan of this, but he doesn't say anything. Ren looks at Aioshi and tells him to sit down. Aioshi sat down. "What's up Ren?" "I am going to be busy the next month and I am putting Akiro in charge, but you are going to back him up." "I already figured that, so what exactly did you need?" "You know me so well. I am not ready to do this yet. Is there not another way to stall it?" "We have been over this. I was able to stall it as long as I could. I know you don't want to do this to Kim, but you know what the alternative is." "Yes, I know what it is. I just don't want him to hate me." "We went over this before we kidnapped him, you said you could handle it." "I know, but" "Ren, if you can't do this, you are putting all of us in jeopardy. I mean I am still under investigation over the Kitchi matter. They are taking their good ole time coming to a decision, and I think it is because they are waiting to see what happens between you and your pet." "I am well aware they are testing me and have been since I took over. I just wish you guys would realize that I am not that strong of a person." Aioshi went and pulled Ren into a hug. "I know this baby, but you have to harden your heart until the two masterminds are gone or neither you nor Kim will survive." Ren cried on Aioshi's shoulder. Aioshi has gotten to know Kim, so he realized that at the end of this training and at the confirmation of Kim being Ren's pet, Kim would hate Ren. That is when Kim would finally see him without a mask on. What Kim chooses to do at that moment will either save them or get them both killed, which would be the end of Ren's double elites as they would be killed as well. Aioshi just hopes that Ren can complete this training, but he has his doubts as Ren is still crying in his lap. "Aioshi, don't worry, I can do this. I might not want to, but I am not stupid. Tell Yoshi to transfer Kim to his new room after lunch."
