"𝐈 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐍'𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐍 the person who we're supposed to be keeping tabs on in days."

"I know... Maybe they left Fontaine?"

The male with ginger hair scoffed in response to his friend's conclusion.

"I highly doubt that," He pointed out slowly, "We found out not too long ago that they live and work here. I don't think they would just up and leave, Y/N."

Ajax, most commonly known as Childe at work, was trekking through the quiet streets of Fontaine with his best friend and work partner, Y/N.

The pair worked for a large and widely feared organisation known as the Fatui. Many people were terrified of the organisation due to its horrid wrongdoings and acts of chaos that would more or less ruin Nations upon Nations.

Y/N hummed. "Well, all we can do is keep searching."

Childe chuckled. "Like we've been doing for months?"

The other nodded, cracking a small grin. "Yes. Like we've been doing for months."

The two continued their walk until they came across a café. Café Lucerne to be exact. Childe's eyes more or less sparkled in awe as they rested upon the lively café.

Y/N groaned. "Childe, no-"

"Come on," The male grabbed Y/N's wrist and dragged them towards one of the tables outside the café. He forced them down onto a chair in a hurry.

"Childe, we have work to do."

"So what?" Childe snickered and sat down opposite his friend. He had a coy smirk on his face as he stared at them.

"Work can wait," He yawned, "I'm feeling a little peckish. What say you?"

Y/N glanced down at the menus neatly placed on the table. They sighed softly.

"Yeah... I suppose I'm feeling a little peckish too." They admitted, reaching out to grab a menu.

Childe clicked his fingers. "Aha! I knew it."

Unbeknownst to them, a pair of skeptical eyes were watching their every move from afar.

"I feel like I've seen them before..."

"I am stuffed." The ginger haired male breathed out. He leaned back in his chair and patted his stomach. Y/N laughed at his behaviour.

"Me too," They murmured, "The food here is great."

"So..." Childe trailed off. He glanced at his friend through his unnecessarily long lashes.

Y/N frowned at him, almost as if knowing what he was about to say.

"No," They quickly interrupted, "I paid last time we ate food out. You even said that you would pay next time."

"But Y/N-"

"You have mora, don't you?"

Silence.

"That's what I thought. Chop chop, pretty boy."

Groaning, Childe reluctantly slid off his chair and begun walking over towards the owner of the café to pay.
