𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐍 hour (which felt like days), The Traveler had successfully managed to drive The Doctor away from the Fortress with a few major injuries. He knew very well that the aforementioned male would return within no time, yet his efforts would have to suffice for the time being.

After all, he had other matters to attend to as of present.

"Childe," The blonde called out, gazing down at the pale male who was crumpled against the floor. The Traveler crouched down, face etched in worry.

"Stupid Doctor!" Yelled Paimon in frustration upon witnessing the state that Childe had found himself in. He was determined to fend off The Doctor, yet had ended up consuming the majority of the poison as a result. The Traveler, on the other hand, appeared to be immune to the peculiar substance, which meant that he could fight with ease, giving him the upper hand.

"Childe," The Traveler repeated quietly, his hand reaching out to brush the strands of hair that stuck to Childe's cheek. The male didn't respond, his eyes glazed over and his mouth hung open. Poor Paimon begun to think of the worst.

"He's dead!?" She shrieked in horror. The Traveler rolled his eyes subtly and shook his head.

"No, Paimon, he's not dead, don't worry. He's just consumed too much of the poison. We need to get him to a medic."

Paimon nodded in response when, just for a split second, her eyes lit up. It was as if a light bulb had flickered within her head.

"Paimon has an idea!"

The Traveler hummed curiously. "That's a first. What is this bright idea of yours?"

"Hey, Paimon has many ideas!" She retorted in a huff, clearly unimpressed.

"Why don't we look for a medic at the Fortress? That way we can try and see how the siblings and Y/N are doing! We should also probably tell the siblings about The Doctor just now..."

Gazing up at his flying companion, The Traveler smiled. A proud smile. He then chuckled in disbelief.

"I'm honestly shocked that you managed to think of that, Paimon. However, I do like your idea. Let's do it."

Y/N was rudely awoken the next day by a loud bashing that thundered against their cell door. They groaned in agitation before reluctantly slipping out of their bed.

Annoyed, they were quick to open the door, blinking their half-lidded eyes open. Then, they noticed a Gard stood before them.

Did I oversleep? They thought, rubbing their sore eyes.

"What is it?" They mumbled.

"There are a few visitors at the infirmary who wish to see you. I'm afraid your visit cannot last for too long, though." The Gard answered.
