𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊 to approach Fontaine, which meant that it was time for the long-awaited meeting with the Hydro Archon.

Y/N, followed by the twins, were escorted into the Palais Mermonia by a melusine. They walked until they were stopped by two Gardes who stood outside of a large set of blue doors. The melusine merely gave each of them a nod before scurrying away. The silence was loud.

Freminet wasn't present since he was busy investigating just how much security Furina had. He was outside of the Palais Mermonia, ensuring to memorise the Garde's and melusine's patterns and routines.

The Gardes observed the three silently before knocking on the large doors in unison. Upon hearing a loud "Enter!" From the Hydro Archon herself, they opened the doors and sent the trio in.

As soon as the doors behind them closed abruptly, the three looked in front of them to see the Hydro Archon sat on top of her desk, one leg crossed over the other. She had an amused expression on her face as she eyed each person closely.

"Welcome, welcome!" She chimed dramatically, "Please, have a seat!"

Y/N and the twins each shared a look before sitting on three cushioned chairs opposite Furina's desk. Furina then clasped her hands together.

"Tell me, what brings the three of you here?" She wondered, a chuckle following shortly after.

"Nothing in particular," Lied Lyney with a coy grin, "We just wanted to see how our O Mighty Hydro Archon was doing."

Furina couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow at the magician, humming as she thought.

"Surely not," She muttered, "You requested to have a meeting with me, Focalors, merely because you wanted to see how I was doing?"

Lyney went to respond, yet Furina didn't allow for this to happen.

"Alas," A dramatic sigh fell from her lips, "I suppose I should please my people."

"I am doing splendidly if I do say so myself," She begun with a hearty laugh, "Though, it has been quite a shame that there has been no interesting trials as of yet... I doubt any trial would even be able to compare to yours!"

The twins were quick to stare at each other, surprised expressions evident on their faces. Y/N crossed their arms over their chest and frowned.

"Whatever do you mean, Miss Furina?" They asked.

"Oh, my apologies! Did I say something that I wasn't supposed to?" Teased the other, quick to catch onto the fact that the twins were now glaring at her with sour expressions.

"Allow me to enlighten you! Uh..." Furina trailed off, expecting for Y/N to introduce themselves.

"Y/N." They greeted, bowing their head in respect.

"Ah! Well, Y/N, allow for me to tell you a story about the twins here, seeing as you were not present on the day."

"Miss Furina, is this really necessary?" Lyney begun in a panicked tone, yet was silenced by the Hydro Archon at once.
