"I'm so sorry, Arizona. It's up to you what happens next." Miranda cooed,
"What do you mean what happens next?" Arizona asked confused looking up to Miranda.
"Your her next of kin, it's up to you what we do next." Miranda restated
"You mean you want to know if I want to end life support!" Arizona yelled, "that's what your asking, Meredith isn't dead but if we turn of that ventilator she might as well be. She had brain activity she's alive she's just in a coma!! She's my wife!!" Arizona confined breaking down into sobs. "She's my wife god dammit, she survived, drowning and a bomb and a shooter and freaking plane crash and Covid this this can't be what takes her down she was doing well, then no it can't be."

Arizona sat in the chair next to her wife crying. Miranda sat down next to her,
"Ok I'm sorry I asked, we will continue treatment, and we can try to see if there are treatments to try and wake her up." Miranda said softly before leaving the room. As she did Arizona looked back to Meredith holding her hand and crying.
"Mamma?" A soft voice asked from the door, at first Arizona didn't here it,
"Mamma?" It asked again a bit louder. Arizona quickly wiped her eyes turning to the door, she saw Sofia standing there tears in her eyes.
"Oh Sof baby, what wrong your meant to be in the child care." Arizona said opening her arms for her daughter.
"Is mummy going to die?" She asks looking up at Arizona her big round eyes full of tears.
"I don't know my love, she fighting but I don't know" Arizona answered honestly, she didn't want to upset her daughter but she didn't want to lie to her either.
"I'm sorry" the young girl cried curling herself up in her mothers lap.
"What, why are you sorry my love you didn't do anything." Arizona asked concerned.
"I heard you last night, when you where taking to Aunty Maggie." Sofia answered
"I'm sorry, what do you mean?" Arizona asked
"You said mummy has an infection, pneumonia, and you where angry you said it was mum and penny's fault you said that if Mummy died it would be mum and penny's fault." The young girl cried, "and..and..that mean that I brought it back I brought the infection back to Mummy so it's my fault too." She continued,
As she spoke Arizona's heart broke.
"Oh baby girl no, it's not your fault I promise." Arizona cooed
"But it is I tried to make them have showers when they got home but they wouldn't do it. Then Penny started working in the pneumonia ward, and I brought the infection home to mummy." Sofia cried
"My baby girl look at me" Arizona said moving to look at her daughter. "It is not your fault ok, I promise, not only is it not your fault but you tried to do the right thing and that makes you so much better. Ok my love you are 13, and Callie and Penny should have done the right thing, you tried and it's not your fault. We also don't know for sure that Mummy got the infection from there, ok she could have just developed it. I promise my love it's not your fault." Arizona explain hugging her daughter.
"You promise?" Sofia asked looking up at her mother with hope in her eyes.
"I promise my sweet girl." Arizona replied

Sofia asked looking up at her mum.
"Of course my love, you are and will also be mine mummy's baby along with your sisters and brother. I know we don't discuss it much but I have full custody of you so if you don't want to see Callie anymore you don't have to." Arizona answered.
"Thanks mamma," Sofia answered yawning.
"Are you tired my love?" Arizona asked, Sofia just nodded her head snuggling into Arizona. "Would you like to lay next to mummy?" She continued,
"Can I?" The young girl asked excited. Arizona smiled at her daughter before helping her climb into the bed next to Meredith, where she snuggled into her mummy's side.
Arizona sat back down in the chair smiling at her wife and daughter who had now fallen asleep before snapping a photo.
