Later that night.
Arizona and Meredith where sitting and talking, Meredith still hadn't told Arizona about the wheelchair and her plan and she knew she needed to but she wasn't sure how to bring it up.
"Hey what's going on inside your head?" Arizona asked, snapping Meredith back to reality.
"What?" Meredith asked surprised.
"Your obviously thinking about something and don't try and say your not I know you and I can tell when somethings on your mind." Arizona answered, gently rubbing Meredith's back. Meredith looked at Arizona for a moment not saying anything,
"Im worried," Meredith replied.
"About?" Arizona prompted
"The custody battle," Meredith continued and Arizona's face fell a bit they where both worried they loved Sofia more than anything and didn't want anything to happen to her.
"So am I love but it will be ok." Arizona cooed,
"No I'm worried, that," Meredith paused taking a deep breath. "I'm worried that because I need so much help to do even daily tasks at the moment and I'm such a burden on you that the judge will change her decision and it will be my fault and we will loose Sofia." Meredith said tears filling her eyes,
"Your not a burden Meredith," Arizona sighed, "I love you and your not a burden and your state won't affect the judges decision and if it does we will deal with it." Arizona cooed,
"Either way I, um I asked Stacey to help try to start the process of getting a wheelchair for me." Meredith explained, as she did Arizona looked at her, proud. Meredith had always been one to refuse help and she knew it pained her to be asking for it now but it just went to show how much of an amazing mother she was.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea, my love." Arizona cooed,
"You do?" Meredith asked, almost sounding shocked.
"Anything to help you Mer." Arizona cooed, "why do you sound so confused?" She asked laughing slightly.
"I thought you would think it made me weak." Meredith answered half whispering but Arizona still heard.
"Oh mer, nothing, and I mean nothing could ever make you weak. You fought lung cancer and won. You are one of the strongest people I know." Arizona cooed, gently moving Meredith over so she could sit next to her.
"I love you Zona." Meredith yawned letting herself lean on Arizona,
"I love you to Meri, now just get some sleep." Arizona laughed at her sleepy wife.
It didn't take long for Meredith to fall asleep, against Arizona. As Meredith fell into a deeper sleep small snores started to escape, as they did small tears formed in Arizona's eyes. Just at that moment Jo entered the room, immediately concerned as she saw Arizona's tears
"What's wrong is everything ok?" She asked her friend concerned.
"Yeah, everything's fine." Arizona laughed wiping away her tears,
"Then why where you crying?" Jo prompted sitting down next to the bed.
"It's silly," Arizona laughed looking at her friend.
"Tell me anyway," Jo smiled,
"Meredith's snoring, I haven't heard her snore since I don't even know how long now. After the treatment started she stopped snoring and then obviously while she was in the coma she didn't snore but tonight she started snoring again. It's stupid but it gives me hope it's the light at the end of a very long tunnel, things are finally returning to normal. They are tears of joy." Arizona explained, gently running her hand through the small amounts of hair growing on Meredith's head.

Two Weeks Later
It was a week until the court date and Meredith's chair had finally arrived, it was a big day. In the past two weeks Meredith had been persistent and made significant progress in her ability to control and work her muscles they where still far from pre-coma levels but she knew she had to improve them if she wanted to use her chair. There had been little improvement yet with her fine motor skills but they knew they would come last, muscular atrophy was a lot easier to overcome then brain damage.
"You ready to try your new chair Meredith?" Stacey asked as she wheeled it into the room.
"More than anything." Meredith replied excited.
"Ok now, the way it's going to work is either myself or someone else will help you into the chair, then you use the motion censors on the arms panels to move the chair it'll take some getting used to but I know you'll get there." Stacey explained.
"Can I help put her in the chair?" Arizona asked,
"Sure that's a wonderful idea, seeing as you'll be helping Meredith most of the time. Is that ok with you Meredith" Stacey asked turning to Meredith.
"Of course," Meredith replied smiling at Arizona.
"Ok so I've lined up the chair, so now Arizona you can help lift Meredith up, yep that right," Stacey began to explain as Arizona followed her instructions, "then yep, gently in the chair. Perfect. Now at the moment while your still working on your core muscles we have a strap that goes across your chest just to help you stay upright without you having to use all your energy." Stacey explained pointing to the strap, which Arizona grabbed and carefully fastened around Meredith.
"How does that feel?" Stacey asked
"Weird, good but weird." Meredith replied,
"You look amazing Meri," Arizona cooed, incredibly proud of her wife.
The next hour was spent working with Meredith to understand the controls, but by the end of the hour she pretty much had it down pat. At the conclusion of the hour Stacey showed Arizona how to help Meredith out of the chair, then chatted to the couple for a bit about how the chair worked, including the hidden handles at the back that when raised would allow someone to push Meredith, before discussing Meredith's on going treatment. Once they had discussed the plan and how Meredith PT would look for the next little bit Stacey left the couple to talk.
"Zona I want to get out of this room." Meredith asked turning to Arizona.
"Ok do you think your up to that?" Arizona asked wanting to be sure Meredith wasn't going to overwork herself.
"Yes I do, please Zona I'm so sick of these walls, I'm in here all the time except for when I'm getting scans done please?" Meredith begged.
"I understand my love that's fine. We've got your chair now let's use it and if you get tired I can push it back, how about a trip to see our friends." Arizona suggested standing up to help Meredith.
"And maybe the cafeteria" Meredith laughed as Arizona's stomach grumbled.
"Might be a good plan," Arizona laughed as well before helping Meredith into her chair.
